If you dine out often in Malaysia, chances are you’ve come across Souper Tang, a herbal soup restaurant with more than 20 outlets across the causeway. Now, a decade after its earlier Singapore outlet closed, the brand has made its return, opening a new location at Raffles City Shopping Centre.
Souper Tang was founded in 2016 by actual traditional Chinese medical practitioners, and that expertise goes into the 15 signature herbal soups that you’ll find at this new outlet. The most iconic option is the Souper Tang Signature Soup (from $28.80++), a nourishing soup packed with ginseng, shiitake mushrooms, goji berries, chicken and more.
Souper Tang veterans will be excited to hear that four Singapore exclusives are available here. Those include the Premium Fish Maw & Pork Tripe Pepper Collagen Soup ($34.80++), Stir Fry Vegetable Medley with Goji Berry & Gingko ($14.80++), Imperial House-Brewed Rice Wine Mini Hot Pot ($19.80++), and Jasmine Tea-Infused Sauteed Prawns ($16.80++).
Aside from soups, the restaurant has a variety of mains, sides and more, such as the Imperial House Brewed Rice Wine Mini Hot Pot ($21.80++) and Home Braised Pork Belly in Rich Dark Special Sauce ($21.80++).
A dessert to consider trying is Signature Caramel Beancurd ($6.80++) and other silky beancurd options.
Thanks to this opening, fans of the restaurant won’t always have to cross the border for their fix!
