Save this for your next catchup with the girls: Whimsical Wonderland Afternoon Tea is a new Alice in Wonderland-inspired high tea at Conrad Centennial Singapore, available from now till 24 November 2024!
Themed after the Lewis Carroll’s classic tale, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the multi-tiered afternoon tea takes place at Lobby Lounge every day from 1pm to 3pm and 3:30pm to 5:30pm. It’s priced at $52++ per person on weekdays and $55++ on weekends, and comes with two hours of free-flow tea and coffee too.
The feast begins with an assortment of savoury bites, including Ace of Hearts—charcoal finger sandwiches with burnt miso cauliflower and curry—and Little Oinker: Iberico croquettes with tempura nori, port jelly, and fermented garlic.
Those with a sweet tooth will be pleased with the selection of dessert bites here, named after key elements of the story. Highlights include Rabbit in the Hole, a combination of creamy coconut mousse, gula melaka sponge, and whipped white chocolate ganache, and The Hatter, where dark chocolate mousse is complemented by brandy cherry and chantilly cream. Don’t miss out on Tea O’Clock too, a chocolate and hazelnut treat shaped to look like a mini clock.
Afternoon tea isn’t complete with scones, and Lobby Lounge’s versions are said to be delicious. Pair the Homemade Plain and Raisin Scones with house-made wild strawberry jam and clotted cream—the best way to enjoy them.
That’s not all: you get to enjoy two hours of unlimited TWG tea and coffee! For teas, the French Earl Grey and English Breakfast are classic options that go well with the sweets; alternatively, choose from six types of black coffee, including Orange Sky—zesty with rich notes of fresh and dried fruits.
