Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is home to a few established drink stores and cafes, such as LiHO and Starbucks. If you’re interested in trying something a little less mainstream than those, drop by Yilin Likes Tea, a store that specialises in tea latte and fresh milk ice cream.

With its blue, white, and silver colour scheme, Yilin Likes Tea is reminiscent of the popular Luckin Coffee franchise in appearance. There are limited seats in the store, so unless you really want a place to sit down and have a drink, you’re better off ordering to go.

Tea options here include Ceylon Black Tea Latte (from $3.90), Peach Oolong Latte (from $3.90), Yunnan Special Tea Latte (from $3.90) and more. You can choose to have these latte drinks on their own, or with a whipped cream topping. Patrons have noted that the tea here tends to be fragrant and pleasant-tasting, and the whipped cream pairs well with whichever drink you get.

Be sure to try the store’s fresh milk ice cream too. The most eye-catching flavour on the menu is, of course, the Musang King Durian Fresh Milk Ice Cream ($7.80). Others such as Chocolate Fresh Milk Ice Cream ($4.80), Cheese Cake Fresh Milk Ice Cream ($4.80), and Mixed Berry Fresh Milk Ice Cream ($4.80) are worth a shot, too.
