Calling all dessert lovers—the world-famous pastry chef Pierre Herme has set down roots right here in Singapore, with his world’s largest flagship store officially opening at Weave in Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) on 1 August 2025. We got a sneak preview of what’s on offer, and here’s what you can expect, apart from long queues for sure:

TL;DR, Pierre Herme Singapore is the French brand’s first Southeast Asian store━a 3,500sqft standalone building with a full-service restaurant on the second floor for 70 diners, and a retail space on level one that claims to offer a 360° immersive experience, complete with a world-first ice cream bar and bubble tea.

For the uninitiated, chef Pierre Herme is widely considered one of the best at what he does, and the accolades speak for themselves. For one, he was crowned World’s Best Pastry Chef in 2016 by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Vogue also called him the “Picasso of Pastry”, which certainly speaks to his high level of artistry.

World-famous macarons from $4

fetish-wall-pierre-herme

The Fetish Wall on level one tells the tale of the flavours he’s most beloved for, the iconic Ispahan, AKA an elegant blend of raspberry, lychee and rose, Mogador, marrying passionfruit and milk chocolate, and lastly, Infiniment Vanille, or vanilla on steroids━there’s not one, but three kinds of vanilla beans in this, hailing from Madagascar, Tahiti, and Mexico.

macaron-display-pierre-herme

Each of these features in the permanent macaron collection, proudly displayed in the semi-circular counter that takes centrestage in the boutique on the first floor. FYI, there are always 18 flavours to pick from, most of which are perennially available. These include the three above, as well as classics such as Infiniment Chocolat Paineiras, a Brazilian single-origin dark chocolate, Infiniment Praline Noisette, where noisette is hazelnut, and Infiniment Praline Pistache.

Then, there are seasonal flavours, the current selection of which includes Olea, a tomato leaf and black olive bite, Jardin en Sicile, which combines orange and basil flower, Indulgence, a fresh combo of mint and peas, and Jardin de Godot━lime and tarragon.

Now, the prices at Pierre Herme Singapore have shocked one and all, because most unexpectedly, a tin box of four macarons is priced at $16, that is, you’re getting one macaron for $4. The box of eight goes for $28, 12 for $46, 18 for $68, 24 for $88, and the largest box of 40 macarons retails for $138.

Just to put things in perspective, the same box of eight macarons in France is priced at €26 (~S$38.45), and the tin box of 4 is sold at HKD180 (~S$29.68) in Hong Kong.

This pleasant surprise carries on to the viennoisseries and entremets on sale: each entremet is priced at approximately $9, including the Singapore-exclusive Tartine Infiniment Cacahuete, which sees peanut praline and peanut cream topped with peanut and Dulcey whipped cream, then finished with caramel.

A croissant will set you back $4.50, and the Ispahan version $5.50, as will a Pain au Chocolat & Gianduja. We didn’t get to try the viennoisseries this time, but you can be sure we’ll be back.

Pair these with any of the Christine Ferber pour Pierre Herme jams ($18), in flavours such as Ispahan, Apricot Vanilla, and Raspberry Violet. P.S.: Brad Pitt was so enamoured of Christine Ferber’s jams, he once flew to her workshop in Alsace, France, to learn how she makes them.

First Pierre Herme ice cream bar in the world

Fans of Pierre Herme may have tried his ice cream at other locations in the world, but it’s always only been sold pre-packed in cups. At their Singapore flagship, you’ll find the only Pierre Herme ice cream bar, with 12 different flavours and vegan-friendly soft serves too.

Think: Glace au Macaron Infiniment Cafe Iapar, or coffee with marzipan and macaron crumbs, Glace Jardin de Constance, for coconut and lime ice cream, with pineapple and vanilla sorbet, and caramelised roasted pineapple, Glace Chado━matcha ice cream with yuzu sorbet━and Glace Satine, which is a cream cheese ice cream with passionfruit sorbet.

It should come as no surprise that Ispahan is available in both vegan and non-vegan versions. The plant-based, Singapore-exclusive soft serve comes in an ultra-smooth swirl, though you can also choose to have the individual flavours separately. The non-vegan option is made with Monsieur Pierre Herme’s proprietary method of layering the various flavours together into the tub, from which it’s scooped to serve.

A single scoop in a cup goes for $6, and a double scoop for $11; the cone options are priced at $7 and $12. We absolutely recommend the cone, which is house-made and twice-baked for extra crispness that lasts.

Otherwise, Pierre Herme’s very atas take on our ice cream sandwich is the Iced Brioche (price TBD), where a hefty scoop of ice cream is deposited within a house-made brioche bun, then toasted in a custom sandwich press that transforms the bun into a UFO of warm butteriness, offset by its cold, creamy centre.

Table by Pierre Herme

Up on the second floor is Table by Pierre Herme, a full-service restaurant where you can sit, overlooking the entrance to Universal Studios Singapore, and enjoy everything from bubble tea to savoury mains.

If you could only pick one place to have bubble tea, Pierre Herme should be your choice. At the moment, there are only three flavours to choose from: Ispahan, Jardin de Pierre, and Matcha Cappuccino, each priced at $9, but they’re all made in-house with premium ingredients.

Even the bubbles aren’t your average tapioca balls but are made by Maison Pierre Herme to reflect the flavour of each cup. For example, we had matcha boba in our matcha BBT. Side note: these drinks are also available at the drinks counter on the first floor, alongside Frappes Macaron, hot and iced chocolates, Ispahan Latte ($9) and more.

On to the savouries. Do note that we were served canape-sized versions of these, and prices are not available at the time of writing. We especially loved the Chicken Sandwich with avocado and preserved lemon, which came together in an exceptionally creamy bite, with just the right touch of zest from the preserved fruit, and a nutty crunch from slivers of roasted nuts.

ceviche-de-dorade-ispahan-table-by-pierre-herme-interaction

A signature dish here, which we also enjoyed, is Ceviche de Dorade Ispahan, where the classic marinated fish gets a delicate lychee-raspberry upgrade.

croque-monsieur-volaille-table-by-pierre-herme-interaction

Don’t miss Pierre Herme’s Croque-Monsieur Volaille, made with Comte, bechamel, and turkey ham, though there’s an alternative version that’s packed with salmon, avocado, and wasabi too.

tomato-tarte-tatin-table-by-pierre-herme-interaction

If you see the Tomato Tarte Tatin on the menu, get it━it’s an explosion of roasted, sweet umami, with textures both soft and gooey, and crisp.

fresh-pea-tart-table-by-pierre-herme-interaction

We don’t claim to be fans of peas, but the Fresh Pea Tart gets our vote, with its sweet baby peas, skin-off, nestled on a bed of pea puree, and finished with lemon zest, toasted almonds, and sprigs of fresh mint. There’s a macaron version, which we tried on your behalf, and we’ll have you know that it doesn’t taste like peas at all.

entrements-table-by-pierre-herme-flatlayClockwise from top: Plasir Sucre, Ispahan Macaron Biscuit, Victoria, Montebellow Framboise.

We couldn’t leave without trying some entremets━of which we had a whopping seven━and here are our favourites, starting with the Plasir Sucre ($9), with its hazelnut dacquoise base and milk chocolate layers.

tarte-infiniment-vanille-table-by-pierre-herme-cross-section

Tarte Infiniment Vanille ($9): so light, so creamy, yet packing a whole lot of vanilla punch. There’s vanilla mascarpone cream, vanilla ganache, vanilla glaze, and that’s still not the end of it, because there’s also vanilla powder. You might find yourself a convert, even if you don’t like vanilla.

ultime-vanille-table-by-pierre-herme-cross-section

The Ultime ($9), as its name suggests, is the ultimate indulgence. Start with the Infiniment Chocolat sweet paste and a layer of Madagascan vanilla ganache, topped with Belize chocolate cream and Belize chocolate disks.

tarte-au-cafe-iapar-du-bresil-table-by-pierre-herme-cross-section

Accompany your afternoon cuppa with a Tarte au Cafe Iapar du Bresil ($9), which sees the aromatic bean infused in whipping cream, ganache, syrup, and a glaze.

Keep your eyes peeled for more announcements on the Pierre Herme Singapore Instagram page for updates on their full menu. They’ll be open from breakfast, serving granola and viennoiseries, and more to come. The restaurant is not taking reservations at the moment, but here’s hoping they will in time, and that there will be more locations in central Singapore soon.
