Fortuna Terrazza is a new brunch cafe in Tanjong Pagar
I still recall being impressed with Fortuna Singapore’s tasty pizzas and gorgeous interiors when the popular pizzeria first opened in 2024. More than a year later, the Fortuna team has surprised us with Fortuna Terrazza, an Italian brunch cafe serving toasts, burgers, and pizzas. Mark your calendars—the official opening is happening very soon on 1 October 2025.
Fortuna Singapore Review: New Italian Restaurant By Famous Pizza Chef In Tanjong Pagar
Food at Fortuna Terrazza
I knew I had to start this review with the Buongiorno Toast ($26++) as soon as I took a bite of this glorious toast. It comes with three hefty layers: a sourdough slice topped with folded eggs drenched in creamy truffle mayonnaise, and finished with a thick-cut maple-glazed bacon.
The ingredients may look simple, really, but there was so much to love. Despite the thick cut, the bacon was tender with still a bit of that meaty chew. It reminded me of Christmas ham as it came with a sweet-savoury glaze. I enjoyed the pairing of the sweet maple glaze and aromatic truffle mayo, but the textural variety in this toast was something else. You get fluffy eggs, succulent bacon that almost melts in your mouth, and a soft yet chewy sourdough slice—all in a single bite.
For the same price, you can enjoy their IFC 28 ($26++), served on a metallic tray filled with fries, an Italian-inspired burger, and a side of herb mayonnaise.
This was one hearty burger, featuring brioche buns packed with deep-fried, Italian-style marinated chicken, cornflakes crumbs, and shredded apple coleslaw. You can imagine the textures—crispy, crunchy, and juicy—though the edges of the fried chicken can be a tad rough on the mouth.
While the burger was decent, the fries were nothing to shout about. They turned soggy relatively quickly, and as someone who prefers crispy fries, I was uninspired to finish them. That’s when the herb mayo came to my rescue; this dipping sauce was incredibly moreish, striking a good balance between tangy and piquant flavours with a fragrant finish.
The #6 Cheese Toastie ($24++) was decent, but not memorable enough for me to order it again on my second visit. For a grilled toast that came with so many types of cheese—lemon ricotta, provolone, Gorgonzola, Parmigiano, and Fior di latte—the balance of saltiness and savouriness that I was hoping for was lacking.
In hindsight, I think it was the addition of organic raw honey and Fortuna’s signature house-made chilli oil that masked the salty and savoury undertones of the cheeses. That’s not to say this cheesy toast—which I called a hot mess—was terrible; it just didn’t deliver as much as it promised.
If you usually opt for a sweet brunch, the RicottaMisu Hot Cake ($18++) is a happy alternative to the aforementioned toasts and burger. It features two stacked pancakes covered in a house-made coffee sauce, then topped with a dollop of mascarpone coffee cream and chocolate crumble.
The pancakes were thick and dense, which would have been cloying to eat on their own, but the bittersweet coffee cream really helped to soften the pancakes a little. This is great for coffee lovers, of course, but I recommend it for sharing instead, as it felt more like a dessert than a main dish.
Speaking of desserts, the cafe offers a revolving menu of pastries, which means you get a different kind every day.
Prices also vary depending on what’s available. Some fresh bakes to anticipate include Nutella Tart, Mixed Berry Tart, and Lemon Meringue Tart.
What’s cool about Fortuna Terrazza is that you can enjoy your meals with a glass of Bellini, AKA a Prosecco-based Italian cocktail.
The Basil Bellini ($14++) was exactly the refreshing quencher I needed that hot noon. It’s a sweet and tangy concoction of basil cordial and lemon zest, finished with a basil leaf. The alcoholic taste took a backseat here!
If you’re a teetotaller, get the Pistacchio 2.0 ($14++) instead. It comes in a tall glass, starring milk mixed with coffee crema as the base, and topped with nutty pistachio cream and a mini crumble.
Ambience at Fortuna Terrazza
Fortuna Terrazza’s interior wasn’t complete during my visit, as it was about a week before its grand opening. Nevertheless, you can expect a vibrant and brightly lit space adorned with plenty of greens and lemons. This is a vastly different look from Fortuna, known for its iconic reddish-brown accents. The cafe isn’t the most spacious, but it can surely hold more than 30 diners at once!
Location-wise, it’s literally a stone’s throw away from Fortuna, and a quick four-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station.
Fortuna Terrazza – Eatbook review
I’ve been to my fair share of cafes in Singapore, but an Italian brunch cafe was a first. As a first-timer, I enjoyed everything that Fortuna Terrazza had to offer: their tasty offerings, friendly service, and flamboyant—but not flashy—ambience.
