Subway announces new Steakhouse Gravy Series
Few things hit the spot like a good, juicy steak, but in reality, quality beef cuts come at a price. Dining at most steakhouses and ordering a cut of premium ribeye will usually set you back an easy $20 or more, and that’s not a regular indulgence most of us can afford.
Here’s where Subway‘s new Steakhouse Gravy Series comes in. The limited-time offering features two new sandwiches—the Steakhouse Beef Ribeye Sub and the Steakhouse Rotisserie Chicken Sub—available across all Subway outlets while stocks last.

Both are made with premium cuts of 100% ribeye and whole-muscle chicken, and will set you back either $10.90 for a 6” steak sub, or $9.90 for a 6” chicken sub, a la carte, staying true to the launch’s slogan of “Prime Time, Any Time”.

Of the two, we’re the biggest fans of the Steakhouse Beef Ribeye Sub.
Beyond the fact that the sub comes loaded with 100% ribeye steak, the steam-baked meat stands out for its exceptional juiciness, thanks to each cut being cooked low and slow to lock in maximum flavour.

Steak shavings are topped with melted mozzarella cheese and a winning, rich brown gravy for extra shiokness. TBH, we’d order extra portions of the gravy to take home if we could.
On the greens front, diners get the default combo of lettuce, tomato, green pepper, and sliced mushrooms. The capsicum is a real win here, as it complements the steak’s black pepper marinade and adds a freshness that ties the whole sub together. Otherwise, DIY your own veggie combo to suit your preferences.

Roast chicken is another steak restaurant classic, so don’t sleep on the Steakhouse Rotisserie Chicken Sub if you prefer something lighter, or don’t take beef.

Steak is swapped out for equally juicy chunks of rotisserie chicken on honey oat bread, topped with the same generous dose of mozzarella and moreish gravy.

As mentioned, the meat here is 100% whole-muscle—not blended with other parts of the bird—nor is it shredded or processed, so you’re really getting quality you’d expect to pay a lot more for elsewhere.

To help you save extra, make your sub order a Steakhouse Saver Meal, where you get an additional 16oz drink and cookie for just $1.60 (U.P. $3).
Honestly, these are some of the best Subway exclusives we’ve tried in a while. The fact that they punch well above their price point also makes them worth grabbing before they’re gone.
