There’s just something about having mochi waffles with your friends in the wee hours that hits different, and we’re glad After Hours is here to feed us till 2am every day. This dessert cafe is a quick three-minute walk from Haw Par Villa MRT Station, and their menu sees a range of unique offerings, including soya bean milk gelato with bits of you tiao.
The Churros Mochi Waffle ($8.50) is the latest addition to their menu, and it comes with a delightful twist—the chewy mochi waffle is coated in fragrant cinnamon sugar. Take things a step further by pairing their mochi waffles with gelato, which is priced at $5 for a single scoop, and $9 for double.
If you’re not a fan of mochi, opt for their Classic Waffle ($7) instead. Many patrons have shared online that the Grape Yakult with Oreo Bits ($5) and White Chrysanthemum ($5) gelato make for a great pairing with the waffle. For the adventurous, give their Soya Milk with Dough Fritters ($6) a shot!
There’s also the Golden Butter Toast ($9.50), a thick buttered toast that is said to be soft and airy within while maintaining a crispy texture on the outside. It comes with a dollop of whipped cream, a nice sprinkle of Biscoff crumbs, and a mini jug of maple syrup.

Desserts aside, you can get a range of Calpis AKA non-carbonated soda in three different flavours: Watermelon, Passionfruit, and White Peach. Each cup is priced at $6! Else, a cup of their Iced Matcha Latte ($7) might just do the trick.Â
For more dessert cafes, read our Scoopy Doo review to see if their Yakult sherbet and mochi waffles were worth a trip. Alternatively, check out our Rise review where we tried brown butter waffles and black sesame cake.
