Singapore has a few famous cinnamon roll bakeries—think Rrooll, Marvellous Rolls, and Star Cinnamon—but few have quite the clout that Cinnabon has. The famous American brand’s flagship outlet in Singapore is at Raffles City Shopping Centre, and they offer cinnamon rolls in a variety of flavours. Their second outlet is located at ION Orchard!
For those unfamiliar with Cinnabon, the bakery has more than 1,200 bakeries to date operating in 48 countries—Better Call Saul fans may know it as the store that Jimmy McGill worked at.
Its claim to fame is the classic Cinnabon ($6.80), which comprises a glaze made with Makara cinnamon, and a rich, sticky cream cheese frosting that gives the roll an almost gooey consistency.
Aside from its classic cinnamon bun, Cinnabon also has a Caramel PecanBon ($7.60), a remix of its signature roll topped with caramel frostings, and crunchy pecans. The roll is then finished with a treacly caramel sauce.
If you find the regular-sized cinnamon buns too filling, the smaller MiniBon should be perfect for you. There’s a MiniBon version of the previously two mentioned flavours, as well as an additional one: the Mini Chocobon ($4.50).
You can buy these buns individually, or in packs of four known as a CinnaPack.
As for other baked treats, the Cinnachips ($4.30), which gets you crunchy pieces of cinnamon chips in a cup, come highly recommended.
As for its beverage range, Cinnabon is notable for its Chillattas ($6.50), which are frozen blended drinks in flavours ranging from Cinnamon Caramel to OREO Cookies & Cream. Its speciality drink Mochalatta Chill ($5) is worth a try, too, especially for those who love a coffee and chocolate mix.
