Dopa Dopa Creamery is a popular name in the local ice cream cafes scene. Their flagship outlet in Boat Quay is often crowded with patrons looking to satisfy their ice cream craving with the cafe’s range of nutty gelato, served as is, or on croissants. If you’re one of these fans, rejoice, as Dopa Dopa Creamery has announced a second cafe, newly opened in Tanjong Pagar Plaza.
While the Boat Quay cafe has pared back decor in the white and yellow colour scheme the brand is known for, Dopa Dopa Tanjong Pagar sees the brand go through a bit of an aesthetic revamp.

The cafe’s interiors are minimalistic in all the right, trendy ways, with terracotta brick tiles fashioned as bench seats, concrete walls, and an industrial-style gelato counter that draws the eye.

The creamery’s classic flavours will be made available at this second outlet, as well as their beverages. If you’ve not yet paid them a visit and are unsure what to order, definitely go for their Home Roasted Pistachio ($6)—Dopa Dopa’s claim to fame. They make their own pistachio paste in-house with roasted premium pistachios before churning that into a gelato.

The extra step pays off in droves, as each scoop is creamy and chock full of pistachio’s characteristic nuttiness.

Their Ferrero ($6) is another nutty option for chocolate lovers. House-made hazelnut paste is used in the gelato recipe to achieve the chocolate treat’s praline notes in every scoop, along with dark chocolate and quality cocoa powder.

The final signature we recommend is the Coconut Pandan with Gula Melaka ($5), a tropical, coconutty classic made with a pandan-infused coconut milk base, sweetened with syrupy gula melaka.
Dopa Dopa Tanjong Pagar also has dairy-free scoops and seasonal flavours on the menu.
If you can’t pick just one flavour, bag a double scoop from $9! Premium flavours, of which the pistachio and Ferrero are two, come with an extra $1 charge. Cones also will cost you $1.

On to drinks: the cafe serves up coffee made with beans sourced from local micro-roastery, Luli Roasts. Prices start at $4 for an Espresso. Teas are also available, including their popular Matcha Latte, priced at $5.30 for the hot version, and $6.30 iced.
