Those who live in the East have another reason to check out Tampines Mall. Hidden in the basement of the mall, inside a food court called Kawan Kawan, is Eduardo’s. This stall serves legit Spanish paella and sides at wallet-friendly prices!

Eduardo’s is headed by a Spanish chef who helms from Barcelona, so you know the food here is legit. While we were there, his wife, who’s also from Spain, was manning the stall.

The menu is small, with two paella mains, a side, and two desserts.

True to Spanish tradition, the paella is cooked and simmered in a large pan filled with a rich stock and ingredients. Upon ordering, your plate is prepared and served with additional toppings.

There were only two options to choose from; we went for the Spanish Chicken Paella ($11.80) as the Spanish Seafood Paella ($16.80) was sold out when we arrived at 1:30pm.

Our plate came with a whole chicken leg that was fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavour.

The rice was equally delicious, brimming with mushrooms and snow peas. Best yet: this hearty and comforting dish is well-priced, at a fraction of what most Spanish restaurants would charge.

Another noteworthy item we tried was the Spanish Omelette ($5), where soft potato chunks met creamy egg omelette, baked to golden perfection.

The simple yet satisfying omelette would make a great side for sharing, as it pairs well with the flavourful paella.

You can get Churros (from $4) here, but for something more indulgent, I’d recommend the Cheesecake instead. Usually priced at $8, it’s now going for $6 for a limited time! This Basque cheesecake was rich and creamy without being cloying.

Eduardo’s is tucked in Basement 1 of Tampines Mall’s Kawan Kawan food court. It’s self-service here, so you’ll need to chope a seat and head to the counter, then pick up your order once your buzzer rings.
