FairPrice Finest Centrepoint has DIY ramyeon bar
To me, a bowl of ramyeon is more than just a meal—it’s a warm embrace on a cold night, a remedy for late-night cravings, and a nice reward after a long day. So when I heard about FairPrice Finest Centrepoint’s new DIY ramen bar, I knew I had to try it for myself.
There’s A New DIY Instant Noodle Cafe In Farrer Park That Opens Till 12AM
FYI: DIY instant noodle stores aren’t new to Singapore; previously, we’ve covered similar concepts such as Slurp Mee and Midnight Noodle Club.
The ramen bar is nestled in the corner of the supermarket, though it’s not hard to spot thanks to its eye-catching, vibrant wall of ramyeon.
You’ll find a display of more than 15 instant noodle flavours here. Prices start from $2.50, and brands featured include the viral Samyang Buldak ramen, Nongshim’s classic Shin Ramyun, and Kamjatangmyun ramen.Â
If you’re spoilt for choice, read our guide to the best Korean ramyeon, where we ranked 12 different brands to find the cream of the crop.
After picking your ramyeon flavour, you can choose from a variety of add-ons, including cheese tofu, mini sausages, pork balls, cabbage, luncheon meat, eggs, and even raw meat slices.
After making payment, head over to the ramen bar’s hot water dispenser, where you can customise your preferred duration of cooking with just the click of a button. Here’s a tip: cook your noodles till al dente for a more springy texture!
If you prefer your ramen dry, sieves are up for use in the mini kitchen. Plus, cutlery is also provided at the dine-in area, so you won’t need to pay extra for disposable utensils!
If you’re a seafood lover, we recommend trying the Shin Ramyeon in shrimp flavour for a balance between savoury and briny flavours. To zhng up your broth, add crabsticks, sausages, and other ingredients you like!
Once you’ve crafted your perfect bowl of ramyeon, sit back and enjoy the warm ambience at Fairprice Finest’s cosy 50-seater dining space.Â
