Back in October 2025, Genki Sushi launched its first-ever plushie sling bag collection, featuring adorable sushi-inspired characters that quickly sold out across Singapore. If you missed out on the viral collectibles, here’s some good news: the sushi chain is bringing back the Genki Sushi Squad with four brand-new plushie sling bag designs.

The new Genki Sushi Squad consists of:

Kani: 13 July – 26 July

  • Ebi Fry-chan (18 June to 28 June): A cheerful fried prawn tempura character.
  • Maguro-kun (29 June to 5 July): A tuna-themed character with a wasabi topping.

If you remember last year’s collection, you’ll know just how popular these plushie sling bags were. According to Genki Sushi, the first run sold out across all outlets within just 10 days.

Like the previous designs, each plushie comes with a furry sushi rice body, a zip compartment for storing small essentials, and interchangeable Velcro toppings that can be swapped around if you collect multiple characters.
