Are you really a millennial if you don’t like Genki Sushi? Climbing to fame in recent years thanks to their mentaiko menu, Genki Sushi is always marked by long queues, no matter the time of day. This will be no different at the grand opening of their Tampines Mall outlet, which will be giving away 100 boxes of sushi on 13 November 2019 at 11:30am!
If the giveaway is anything like their opening at Bishan Junction 8, the box will have five nigiri sushi worth $5.50. These include their scrumptious Seared Tamagoyaki with Mentaiko nigiri as well as Inari and Ebi. The boxes are on a first come first serve basis, and each diner can only redeem one box. There are no strings attached too, and you can grab a box without having to dine in.
This is the first Genki Sushi restaurant to be open in the East side, so you can expect a very long wait time when you’re here. The restaurant will be located on the third floor of Tampines Mall, which is the most crowded mall out of the three malls in Tampines.Â
Make your meal worth your wait time and order sushi from their Dai Man Zoku Vol.2 series. The sushi are massive and are 1.5 times bigger than the regular ones. They are priced at $1.90++, with creations such as Seared Steamed Oyster with Black Pepper and Jumbo Crabstick Mentaiyaki.
If you are too lazy to join the queue and can’t understand the hype behind Genki Sushi, check out these Tampines Central food spots as well as Craze Kitchen. Craze Kitchen is a new halal-certified cafe in the area that pushes out tasty Western grub!
