Huat Huat BBQ Chicken Wings - flatlay

For fans of chicken wings, Huat Huat BBQ Chicken Wings is likely a familiar name. Established in 1980, this eatery has been serving up mouthwatering, charcoal-grilled chicken wings for over 30 years.

Their chicken are so popular that they have even been invited to participate in past editions of Singapore Day, an annual event in London that brings a taste of home to Singaporeans living overseas. Today, with nine outlets scattered across the island, they have made their iconic dish even more accessible to locals.

Be sure to try their signature Chicken Wings ($1.60). Each chicken wing is tender and savoury, with a kiss of smoke from the charcoal grill.

If you’re looking for a fuller meal, we recommend going for the Half Spring Chicken With Rice ($9.90). The spring chicken boasts a crispy skin, which contrasts nicely with the tender meat within. Though the meat leans dry, it’s imbued with a pleasant smoky aroma which adds a depth of flavour to the chicken. It comes with a generous portion of coleslaw, that lends a refreshing touch to the dish.

Huat Huat BBQ Chicken Wings - satay

Apart from their grilled chicken items, they also offer other small bites such as Satay ($1 per stick). Here, they offer three types of meat for your satay: Chicken, Mutton, and Beef; you’ll have to order a minimum of 10 pieces. The satay platter also comes with the standard raw onion and cucumber on the side.
