7 Bubble Tea Shops in JB You Can’t Find In Singapore

4th April 2025

Best bubble tea shops in Johor Bahru

Drinking bubble tea is a Singaporean pastime. Most of us don’t mind spending precious lunch time (or money) queuing up at Chagee or Gong Cha, as long as we get our milk tea fix to get through the rest of our workday. But if you’ve tried everything we have in Singapore, why not set your sights across the Causeway and head to one of these bubble tea shops in Johor Bahru (JB) that aren’t available here

The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.30 as of 4 April 2025.

1. Jom Cha

Jom Cha by Farm Fresh is a well-known bubble tea chain with outlets across Malaysia. In JB itself, you can find three branches: Mount Austin, Larkin Sentral, and Stulang Laut.

For a unique experience, visit the one at Stulang Laut. It’s located in a standalone red building with the Farm Fresh cow logo above the doorway, so you’ll feel like you’re in a quaint farmland in New Zealand. Plus, there are also seats inside, should you want to chill in AC before continuing your JB adventures.

What sets this bubble tea chain apart is that the drinks here are made with fresh milk from Farm Fresh, a Malaysian brand. They also sell soft-serve yogurt and bottles of fresh milk on tap (RM11.40). If you bring your empty bottles back, you can get a RM3 discount on your next milk purchase.

If you’re here on a bubble tea mission, know that you’ll be spoilt for choice. Nevertheless, you can’t go wrong with their signature Farm Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba (RM11.80) or Mango Tango (RM13.80), which has mango puree and crystal pearls. Otherwise, go for the Strawberry Kurma Yoghurt (RM14.80). It’s like a dessert you can sip, with strawberry, kurma milk, and yoghurt, finished with popping pearls and brown sugar pearls.
