If you frequent the CBD for work, you may have walked past Kada, the newest kid on the Maxwell block. This three-storey dining enclave is housed in the old St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children building, which opened back in 1923.

Fans of Kyuukei Coffee will be happy to know that the popular Japanese-inspired cafe has set up shop at Kada. On top of coffee, you can fill up on their signature sandwiches here, such as the Brisket Pesto ($22). They also have a small selection of pastries and cakes to choose from.

The cafe serves light bites and coffee; a cup of Latte is priced from $5.50, though their matcha beverages are said to be popular too. Tuck into pastries ranging from the classic Almond Croissant ($6) to a unique Chilli Bacon Loaf ($6).
