B for Bagel Parkway Parade has famous Korean coin bread
It’s no surprise that Singaporeans love Korean food, judging by the sheer number of related launches as of late. We’ve got the new Korean street food eatery Seoul Bunsik, a pop-up by the famous Bakery 1946, and now, the viral Korean coin bread made available at B for Bagel Parkway Parade.
These TikTok-viral pancakes, shaped to look like a 10-won coin, took the social media world by storm sometime last year.
The good news is you don’t have to fly down to Korea for a taste, as you can get them at B for Bagel’s new Parkway Parade shop from now till 24 March 2024!
Currently, four flavours are available: Mozzarella Cheese ($5.50), Red Bean ($4.90), Nutella ($4.90), and Apple Cream ($5.50).
For the most IG-worthy shot, get the Mozzarella Cheese, which comes with a generous layer of stretchy cheese in the middle. Tear the pancake into two pieces and pull away from both sides to get the best pic!
The savoury, mild cheese paired well with the slightly sweet pancake, though we found it a little bland.
My personal favourite was the Red Bean, stuffed with a sweet red bean paste from one end to another. I liked how the filling was not too smooth, with actual red bean chunks for added texture.
Those with a sweet tooth can opt for the Nutella flavour, packed with two big spoonfuls of the popular chocolate hazelnut spread.
Else, the Apple Cream coin bread is an interesting pick that combines lightly sweetened cream cheese with juicy apple bits.
Do note that each coin bread is prepared fresh to order, so you might have to wait a while before you get yours.
In the meantime, browse their glass display of fresh bagels to dabao back a box or two! New additions to the lineup include Cinnamon Apple Cream Cheese ($8.30) and a locally inspired Coconut Kaya Butter ($6.90)Â flavour.
