26th January 2026

What to eat at Lentor Modern Mall

Lentor has become quite the up-and-coming district along the wider Ang Mo Kio area, thanks to its presence on the Thomson–East Coast Line and the number of residential developments in the area. Now, things have become a lot more exciting thanks to the debut of Lentor Modern mall, a mixed-use development that combines a variety of lifestyle offerings, essential services, and—most importantly—a lineup of hot new food options worth dining at.

Here are some to add to your to-dine list:

1. Chef Wen

Chef Wen takes you on a tour through China’s great food regions across its menu, from bites that hail from Beijing to Xinjiang’s fusion delights. Look forward to a wide-ranging spread of noodles, steamed specialities, stir-fried and zi char dishes, alongside comforting mini hotpot.

New dishes are available each month, and currently, diners can expect Chilled Sweet And Sour Pork With Fruits ($18.80++), a refreshing take on the zi char staple. Pair that with a selection of other dishes—the Typhoon Shelter Stir Fried Pork Ribs ($17.80++) takes us straight to the dai pai dong stalls of Hong Kong, while the Braised Beef With Xinjiang Naan ($26.90++) features fork-tender beef stewed with aromatic spices and served with fluffy naan. Fans of noodle dishes should zone in on the Sour Spicy Soup With Black Fish Noodle ($13.90++), a comforting bowl that balances tang and heat.

2. Nolita

nolita-1

Founded by the folks behind chirashi joint Omoté is Nolita, a flatbread and pasta joint that marries Japanese yoshoku fare with cool Brooklyn bistro vibes. With mains hovering around $20++ to $25++, it’s an easy pick for when the Italian food cravings hit, but you want something more novel.

There are 10 different spaghetti dishes on the menu, but we highly recommend the Lobster Rosé ($26++) if you’re big on seafood. Getting generous chunks of lobster for $26++ is already a steal, but having it tossed in a silky tomato cream sauce just seals the deal.

If you’re dining with a group, add some starters and sharing plates to your order. For the former, Truffle Fries ($13++) can’t be beat. When it comes to the latter, the Florentina Black Angus Chargrilled Steak ($42++) is a mouthwatering centrepiece, finished in a red wine sauce.

Unit number: #01-44
Opening hours: Daily 11:30am to 2pm, 5:30pm to 9pm

3. MERLE & CO

Vegetarian and vegan diners will be pleased to add MERLE & CO to their cafe rotation, thanks to a plant-based menu that champions wholesome flavours. The chic, airy dining spot also happens to be pet-friendly, going the extra mile with dedicated dishes for your fur kid so they can join you for brunch.

When it comes to fuel for you, there’s The Underdog With Toast ($28++), a hearty, all-in-one brunch platter featuring creamy mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, truffled mushrooms, and caramelised tomatoes, finished with eggs and toast. MERLE & CO also doubles up as a great midday dessert-and-coffee spot, with a gelato selection made with alternative milks. Prices start at $5.90++ for a single scoop. Caffeinate with the Earl Grey Oat-stache ($9++), where an iced floral Earl Grey tea meets creamy oat milk foam.

South Korea’s most popular bunsik chain, Ssada Gimbab, boasts over 100 outlets in its native country. Now, it has made its mark in Singapore with its Lentor Modern Mall outlet, where diners can go for casual Korean street food that hits the spot any time of day. Plus, prices are all nett!

True to its name, a selection of 10 types of gimbap is available here. The Tonkatsu Gimbab ($14) is an especially filling pick, thanks to the generous slab of fried pork cutlet and veg, rolled into rice seasoned with sesame oil. For fans of spice, the Cheese Tteokbokki ($17) and Seafood Soft Tofu Jjampong Udon ($21) are sure to hit the spot. If fried rice is your carb of choice, the Spicy Stir Fried Pork Rice ($15) is where it’s at, elevating short-grain white rice with smoky slices of gochujang-seasoned pork.

At Daily, culinary borders blur in the kitchen, where influences from China, South Korea, France, and Italy come together in a menu that feels both familiar and inventive. The cafe’s focus on Asian-inspired pastas and grilled-meat rice bowls, alongside all-day staples like pizzas and sandwiches, makes it an easy pick for a laidback meal when you’re in the area.

Standout dishes include the Squid Ink Pasta With Crab Flavoured Seafood Broth ($25++), where spaghetti is made with briny squid ink, then tossed in a deeply umami seafood sauce. For sharing, the Black Truffle And Poached Egg Pizza ($22++) is a sure-fire combination of aromatic truffle and a white, cheesy pizza base, topped with a poached egg for added creaminess. Apart from the Italian options, Daily also has a selection of straightforward brunch plates for those after something more familiar—the Teriyaki Beef, Mushroom & Egg Yolk Rice Bowl ($21++) and Open Sandwich With Avocado & Ham ($16++) are two such options.

Another Omoté establishment is Bunny’s, which brings Tokyo-style burgers to Lentor Modern Mall with a playful twist. Decked out in bright pink interiors and playful details, the eatery is a girlypop fantasy, from the graphic art that adorns its walls to the adorable heart-shaped tags that you get when you wait for your order.

The real draw, however, is the food. Bunny’s got a menu stacked with a variety of Wagyu burgers. A popular pick is the Breakup Burger ($21++), stacked with a double Wagyu smashed patty, chilli bacon jam, yuzu-pickled onions, and potato crisps for added crunch. Double down on your protein with the Boyfriend Burger ($32++), which pairs a juicy Wagyu patty with Wagyu steak tataki and a sweet-sour amazu teppan glaze. Round out your meal with Golden Crispy Wings ($6++) and punchy sauces like Habanero Hot Sauce or Pink Tartar, then finish with refreshing drinks such as Yuzu Lemonade ($5++), optionally turned into a Sea Salt Ice Cream Float for an added $3++.
