If thereโs one dish you absolutely must get at Min Jiang at One-North, itโs their Beijing Duck ($45++ for half, $90++ for a whole duck). Roasted in a wood-fire oven over fragrant apple wood, the paper-thin duck skin was crispy, while the meat stayed perfectly tender. Make your meal complete and order their Lobster Noodles ($26++ per person), where you are served an entire lobster along with springy yellow noodles.

From oyster omelette to lu rou fan, we will never say no to Taiwanese grub. And Eat at Taipei is our go-to spot for Taiwanese street snacks. Sink your teeth into their Braised Pork Bun ($7.90++), where tender meat and preserved vegetables are sandwiched between a pillowy bao and topped with crushed peanuts. Sitting in a pool of nacho cheese, the Shilin Royal Cheese Loaded Potato with Taiwanese Sausage ($7.90++) had us wiping the bowl clean – it was that good.

Pushing out a wide selection of scrumptious Thai nosh is Siam Kitchen. When Iโm here, I never fail to start off my meal with a salad and a round of appetisers. Filled with chunks of prawns and corn, the aromatic Lemongrass Prawn Cakes ($9.90++) is certain to please everyone at the table. Alternatively, refresh your palate with their Spicy Seafood Salad with Glass Noodles ($10.90++) that comes loaded with prawns and squid.

Everything at Forestๆฃฎ sounds so delicious, we had a tough time deciding what to order. Thankfully, their Gastronomic 8 Course Tasting Menu ($198++ per person), available during dinner hours,ย lets you sample a range of noteworthy dishes. The menu is heavy on seafood creations, with delectable items such as Boston Lobster, Hokkaido King Scallop Mousse and New Zealand Cod Fillet. Thereโs also a scrumptious Wagyu Beef Shank on the menu too, and it is slow-cooked to tender perfection.
Many of us millennials – myself included – are guilty of living paycheck-to-paycheck, so partaking in this eight-course meal may seem like a dream. However, Maybank Cardmembers donโt have to go broke dining here, as they enjoy a whopping 50% off every second set menu ordered. Itโs easy to see why Irodori Japanese Restaurant is constantly packed every day; their ร la carte buffet ($38.80++ per adult) is extremely value for money! And even though the pricing is relatively affordable, they donโt discount on quality. Take a bite into their sashimi and you will realise how fresh their seafood is. The menu also boasts a wide array of dishes, and the one dish we kept ordering was Irodori Maki.

7. AquaMarine (Marina Mandarin Singapore)
This August, halal-certified buffet spread AquaMarine will be offering a Singapore Heritage Buffet ($60++ for lunch). Pile your plates high with their Marinated Ayam Buah Keluak Shawarma in Lotus Bun, where the tender chicken thigh boasts a tantalising smoky aroma. Another dish we couldnโt resist was their Deep-Fried Asian Crab Fritter with Salted Egg Mayonnaise, which is essentially a deep-fried ball of crab meat mixed with celery and coriander.

Thereโs just something so appetising about meat sizzling on a charcoal grill. And no matter the time of the day, we will never say no to a meal at ROCKU Yakiniku ($29.90++ for Mon-Thur, $32.90++ for Fri-Sat). So put on your stretchy pants and get ready for a feast, as the buffet boasts a wide selection of meats and sides such as pork collar, beef striploin, mussels and garlic fried rice!

For a quick respite away from the hustle and bustle of the city, check out Cocobolo Poolside Bar + Grill. Their Local & Asian Favourites were spot-on and definitely worth trying. An absolute must-have is their Char Kway Teow ($16++), with its mouth-watering wok hei aroma. The Fried Hokkien Noodles ($16++) were an umami delight too, and came topped with three plump prawns.

If youโre on a vegetarian diet, Saute-San is a good spot for scrummy eats thanks to its selection of delicious mains. Topped with lionโs mane mushrooms, roasted peanuts, kelp, sesame seeds and spicy ma la sauce, the Mala Lion Mane Pizza ($17++) was an interesting dish to order. They also have safer dishes, such as Truffle Aglio Olio ($16++), which was our all-time favourite.
Go on a weekday date with your bestie between 2:30pm to 5:30pm, and take delight in 1-for-1 on all their pizza and pasta dishes. This great deal ends on 30 September 2018, and blackout dates apply.
