Matcha lovers, mark your calendars. Clarke Quay Central is turning its Level 1 Atrium into a matcha lifestyle event with Matcha Central. The event will run from 18 September to 20 September 2026, from 11am to 9pm.
At the heart of it all is a Matcha Bar, serving up freshly whisked drinks throughout the event, from traditional, earthy brews to trendier concoctions such as strawberry matcha latte. If you’ve ever wanted to learn the ritual behind the drink, the Matcha Appreciation Workshop has you covered, using traditional tools to whisk, taste, and explore the flavour profiles that define different matcha grades.
Those who want a keepsake from the event can head to the Matcha Shaker Charm Customisation Bar, where you can design your own matcha cup keychain by mixing and matching seed beads, flower charms, pearls, and miniature acrylic treats.
There’s also a Matcha Therapy Counter, which hands out a lighthearted “matcha diagnosis” using mood cards, complete with a personalised therapy prescription and daily affirmation cards.
Beyond the matcha-specific activities, the event also has a curated on-site flea market, spotlighting artisan crafts, aesthetic accessories, and one-of-a-kind trinkets for anyone looking to shop while they sip. Round it off with interactive games such as Matcha Pong and retro arcade machines, plus live DJ sets to keep the atmosphere going all weekend.
If you want in on the freebies, there’s a way to skip the regular admission entirely. From 24 August to 15 September 2026, spend a minimum of $100 across up to two same-day receipts at Clarke Quay Central, One Holland Village, Orchard Central, or Square 2, and register via the shopFarEast app using the code “ILOVEMATCHA”.
Once your receipts are approved, you’ll be credited with an entry ticket admitting two, along with an exclusive Matcha Tumbler, a slot in the Matcha Appreciation Workshop with a complimentary tin of premium matcha powder, and a customisable Matcha-Inspired Shaker Charm. This is on top of full access to the games and DJ sets!
Entry tickets and tumblers are limited and given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s worth getting the spending done early rather than waiting till the last week.
