Muted Gelato is a minimalist cafe in Bendemeer that opens till 12am
There’s no shortage of aesthetic cafes in Singaporeāanother one to add to this list is Muted Gelato, a new-ish gelato and waffle spot that sports a trendy, minimalist look.
Muted Gelato is located along the bustling Lavender Street, a 10-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT Station.
For dessert, you get to pick from 10 to 12 gelato flavours, including Earl Grey Sakura,Ā Soy Gula Melaka, and Uji Matcha, made with ceremonial-grade matcha powder.
We recommend their Buttermilk Waffle ($6), which is freshly made upon order. Splurge on theĀ Double Scoop ($9)Ā gelato, with premium flavours costing an additional $1 per scoop.
The Sicilian Pistachio flavour is a crowd favourite for good reason: made with Bronte pistachios, this gelato boasts a rich flavour and nutty fragrance. Our only gripe was that it was a tad too sweet.
12 Hojicha Desserts And Bakes To Try, Including Hojicha Kakigori And Lava Brownies
I preferred the Roasted Hojicha gelato, which was smooth and creamy, with complex and earthy notes of the roasted tea. This is one must-try if you enjoy tea-infused sweets, or hojicha desserts in general!
If you need more caffeine, get it in the form of an Iced Matcha Latte ($7), made with premium matcha powder.
Muted Gelato’s minimalist interiorsāthink muted tones, limewash walls, and bare furnishingsāmake every corner the perfect backdrop for your gram. The dessert cafe also opens till 12am every day, so you can pop by after dinner or supper for your sweet tooth fix!
While you’re in the area, drop by Pohang Seafood & Butchery for their raw marinated crabs that are well-priced under $20 per serving! Otherwise, read our Cafe by Whisking Bakes review for taro-infused desserts in Lavender, including orh nee crepe cake and cream puffs.
