Matcha fans have another reason to swing by City Hall soon. Nintea.Matcha, a popular Chinese matcha brand, is set to make its Singapore debut at Raffles City. Our colleague spotted hoarding for the upcoming outlet while out and about, suggesting an official announcement isn’t too far off.

The dessert and beverage brand shot to virality with its simple but novel concept: customers get to pick their own matcha intensity, from levels 2.9% to 25.9%.

While the Singapore menu has yet to be released, prices on their Chinese menu range from $3.90 to $7.25.

Matcha No. 1 is light and sweet with a hint of jasmine, while Matcha No. 3 balances sweetness, bitterness and fragrance. If you prefer something more intense, we recommend going for Matcha No. 5, the strongest of the lineup, with a bold, earthy flavour.

Based on their menu in China, we’re also hoping to see other unique matcha concoctions make their way here, including the Xian Mo Cha Lao (¥22), a salted matcha cream drink and the Xiang Ye Mo Cha Lao (¥26), which comes with coconut matcha cream. The current exchange rate is ¥1 = ~S$0.19 as of 1 September 2026.

Those with a sweet tooth can go for the Hei Tang Hu Po Mo Cha Bing Lao (¥32), which mixes brown sugar and matcha cream; if you’d prefer something more refreshing, try the yuzu-based You Zi Mo Cha Bing Lao (¥29).

Beyond the matcha lattes, their overseas menu also includes matcha gelato and matcha cakes, so we’re hoping these make an appearance in Singapore too.

An official opening date has yet to be announced, but we’ll update this article with more details once we have them.
