$1.99 oysters at Oyster Co VivoCity

Cheap and fresh are not usually adjectives that go together when we think about oysters, but here at this Food Republic stall in VivoCity, that’s exactly what you’ll get. Oyster Co has recently opened their second location in Singapore’s largest shopping mall, and is offering their Classic Selection at $1.99 per piece!
With a minimum order of a dozen oysters, diners can enjoy freshly shucked Canadian oysters that are about three and a half inches big. Alternatively, get their Premium Selection ($2.99/piece) of oysters from the United States of America, which has a minimum order requirement of only half a dozen.
Pair your oysters with their Mignonette, Cilantro Lime or Hainanese Chilli sauces, or have it the conventional way with Tabasco at only $1.

Aside from the freshly shucked variety, Oyster Co also offers baked oysters in four styles—namely Mentaiko Cheese, Salted Egg, Oyster Omelette, and Oriental Vermicelli. The baked oysters cost $15 for three pieces, but you can opt for the Taster Platter ($17.90), which gets you one each of all four flavours.

For a more filling meal, try their Fish and Chips ($12.90), which has two battered fish fillets that come with a side of fries, and their special Hainanese chilli. Alternatively, choose their Seabass Risotto ($16.90), which is another of Oyster Co’s bestsellers. Expect crispy pan-seared sea bass, and fragrant, creamy risotto accompanied by a tangy tomato salsa.

With its own dining area decked in a tropical beach shack theme, diners can enjoy Oyster Co’s selection at the counter, and not have to jostle for seats with the main crowd in the food court.Â
Oyster Co also offers islandwide delivery for only $10, but you can enjoy the service for free by spending a minimum of $100.
