Paradise Classic has famous crispy sweet and sour pork
Growing up in a Chinese-Singaporean household, going out for zi char as a family was always something to look forward to. There’s lots of zi char places out there, but you can always rely on Paradise Classic for popular-yet-homely versions of classic Chinese comfort foods, such as their famed sweet and sour pork, hor fun, and more.
Treat yourself to your favourite Chinese dishes from Paradise Classic’s extensive menu, including their Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork ($16.30++) that’s said to be one of the best around!
Made with specific cuts of pork selected for maximum crispiness, these large, meaty pieces are so crispy that you will hear an audible crunch as you bite in. They are also cooked such that each piece is also perfectly tender and will leave you craving more. The house-made sweet and sour sauce only elevates this dish further, with just the right balance of tang and sweetness.
Good news for those craving some sweet, crunchy pork, you can get this signature dish for just $1, with every spend of $20 at all Paradise Classic outlets from 15 to 19 May 2023! Do note that this promotion is limited to two redemptions per table when dining in from 3pm at their Marina Bay Link Mall outlet, and all-day at the other outlets.
While you’re here, try some of Paradise Classic’s other offerings, including their signature Braised Big Prawn Hor Fun with Prawn Broth ($13.90++/$20.90++).
Made from a prawn broth that’s simmered for over six hours with fresh prawns and spices, the full-bodied character of the gravy, large and sweet prawns, as well as the intense wok hei this dish has been imbued with makes it a must-try.
Other noodle dishes, such as their version of mee tai mak, the Braised Silver Needle Noodle with Prawn and Salted Fish in Claypot ($13.90++/$20.90++) offers a fun and unique twist on an old-school favourite. Aside from boasting super slurpable noods, it has a robust gravy that’s elevated by the strong citrusy notes from the lime juice and added creaminess from the egg that you pour in yourself.
Beancurd tofu is a dish I’ll always get whenever I’m craving zi char, and Paradise Classic does a solid rendition with their Hot Plate Tofu with Preserved “Cai Xin” and Minced Pork ($15.90++).
The thick slab of silky tofu is drenched in a gloriously salty, gooey gravy that’s swimming with crunchy pickled cai xin. The combination of textures and flavours makes for a dish that’s really hard to pass over. What can I say, it’s a classic.
Finally, to cleanse your palate, get their Double boiled Kampong Chicken Soup ($25.90++). The tender chicken is simmered with seven different herbs for a robust and nourishing chicken soup that has a comforting and nostalgic taste.
Right now, anyone craving some quality zi char in a classy restaurant setting can find Paradise Classic outlets in Bedok Mall, Jewel Changi Airport, and Marina Bay Link Mall. Come May, the brand is also opening a brand new outlet in The Woodleigh Mall, just a stone’s throw away from Woodleigh MRT Station and perfect for folks living in nearby Serangoon and Potong Pasir.
