Paradise Teochew is a household name when it comes to serving delectable Teochew dishes all day, but for their Duo Celebration promotion, diners can enjoy a selection of 10 Teochew Classics dishes at just $20++ each during dinnertime, and 20 dim sum items at only $3.80++ each during lunch! This promotion is available from 12 July till 25 July 2021, so hurry down with your loved ones for a feast.

The dim sum deals at lunch will leave you spoilt for choice, especially since the dishes have all been created by Executive Chef Cheng Fa Kwan, who has over 39 years of culinary experience under his belt. These are available daily, from 11am to 3pm (last order at 2.30pm) on weekdays and from 10am to 3.30pm (last order at 3pm) on weekends.

Their Steamed Molten Salted Egg Yolk Bun (U.P. $6.80++) is a must-order for liu sha bao lovers, with a molten salted egg centre snug between pillowy bao bread. The custard within is not too sweet, nor cloying, so you can easily pack away three on your own.

Another staple dim sum order to get is their Steamed Pork Dumpling ‘Siew Mai’ (U.P $7.80++), where four siew mai dumplings come packed with QQ pork paste, and topped with salty tobiko roe for extra texture.

glutinous rice roll

If you normally get cheong fun rolls with your dim sum order, try something authentically Teochew instead, with the Steamed Glutinous Rice Roll in Teochew Style (U.P. $6.20++).

Served in baskets of three pieces, these rolls see steamed rolled buns cored out, and filled with a chewy glutinous rice filling, dotted with peanuts for crunch.

Apart from our top picks, you can also look forward to the likes of Mini Egg Tarts (U.P $6.80++), where the custard is made with eggs imported from Japan, Baked BBQ Honey Pork Pastry (U.P $7.80++), packed with honeyed char siew, and their Steamed Rice Roll with Sesame Sauce (U.P $6++), that you can’t help but slurp up.

beef in satay sauce

If you’re headed down at dinnertime, then you definitely have a family-style spread awaiting you, with their value-for-money $20++ Teochew Classics deal.

Unique highlights include their Stir-fried US Angus Beef In Satay Sauce (U.P. $32++), where tender, wok-kissed slices of beef meet a rich, peanutty sauce that has a kick of spice.

assorted veg

Add some greens to the mix with their Paradise Teochew Stir-Fry Assorted Vegetables (U.P. $30++), a rainbow medley of capsium, cashew nuts, beansprouts, chives, and rounds of squid for extra chewiness.

teochew braised meat

No meal at a Teochew restaurant is complete without some braised meats, and Paradise Teochew lets you get the best of both worlds with their Teochew Style Braised Duo Combination Platter (U.P. $28++), with thinly sliced Irish fat duck, and pork belly.

Both are braised in a light soy-based sauce, resulting in melt-in-your-mouth pieces of meat.

hor fun

Finish off the meal with some carbs by ordering their Wok-fried ‘Hor Fun’ with Kai Lan and Preserved Turnip (U.P $33++), where wok hei coats every single strand of hor fun noodles.

Turnips add to the crunch, while rounds of spring onion bring welcome bursts of freshness to cut through the smokiness of this dish.

pork ball and ngoh hiang

If you’re still feeling peckish, then don’t miss out on their Handmade Combination of Prawn Ball and Traditional Pork Roll (U.P $36.80++). This is a Paradise Teochew signature, with handmade Teochew-style ngoh hiang rolls, and springy prawn balls sweetened by real prawn meat.
