Popeyes Launches New Buttermilk Chicken Nuggets And Party Bundle To Celebrate Their 50th Birthday

Louisiana fried chicken chain Popeyes is turning 50 this year! To celebrate this milestone, fans can look forward to special items on the menu, including a 1972 Party Bundle that’s perfect for a party of two.

The exclusive set comes with one Chicken Sandwich, two pieces of Fried Chicken, a six-piece box of Buttermilk Chicken Nuggets with smoky BBQ sauce, two Regular Mashed Potatoes, and two Regular Pepsi. It’s aptly priced at $19.72 to commemorate the year in which Popeyes was born—1972.  

Included in the feast is the all-new Buttermilk Chicken Nuggets (six pieces), which come with a smoky BBQ sauce for dipping. These can only be bought with the 1972 Party Bundle for a limited time period, so make sure to grab them asap in-store or via delivery!

The new item features bite-sized, tender chicken chunks, hand-battered and breaded in the chain’s signature buttermilk coating, and then deep-fried to crisp perfection. As the nuggets are made with muscle meat instead of mince, each piece is ultra-tender and juicy. 

Dip each piece of nugget into the special BBQ sauce for a sweet, savoury, and smoky finish. 

You also get a Chicken Sandwich, Popeyes’ best-selling burger showcasing a juicy buttermilk chicken thigh fillet that’s marinated for 12 hours with bold cajun spices. 

Completing the burger are house-brined pickles for a refreshing crunch, and a creamy and spicy Cajun mayo slathered on two soft and fluffy brioche buns.

The set also comes with a two-piece set of Popeyes’ signature Fried Chicken, well-loved for its crispy and flavourful batter, and tender meat.

Finally, fill up on Popeyes’ soft and silky mashed potatoes, which comes with a special cajun gravy to top it off!
