Singapore Is Cooking is a Coca-Cola food fest in Singapore
Singapore’s food events calendar is buzzing this year, and we can’t get enough. Hot on the heels of the recent GastroBeats and Yummy Food Expo is Singapore Is Cooking, a food-themed festival by Coca-Cola happening from 4 August to 6 August at Timbre+ One North.
Held on National Day week, the event is all about amping up your Singapore spirit with the one thing that binds us all: our love for food. So if you’re planning to head down, here’s what you can expect.
The Singapore Is Cooking Fest comprises an indoor and an outdoor area. To kickstart the experience, you need to collect a mission card at the Bottle Shop. Swing by the indoor area and spend on any meal combo, which comes with a can of Coca-Cola.
This lets you collect a stamp, and your first chance at the giant gashapon machine, which you can choose to spin later.
39 eateries are taking part in the event and creating special dishes and bundles designed to be enjoyed with the refreshing taste of Coca-Cola. Vendors include Nam Heng Chicken Rice, Kopifellas, JC Nasi Lemak and more.
Entry to the Coke x Food Park is free-for-all, but completing challenges and collecting stamps on the mission card entitles you to more turns at the gashapon machine. There are plenty of fun games and activities to participate in to get more stamps.
For one, there are arcade challenges, where you can play with old-school games.
There’s also the Chilli Crab Swing, a cool photo opp where you swing against a graphic backdrop that pays homage to Singapore’s beloved dish. If you’ve got great ring toss skills and hand-eye coordination, the Seesaw x Prata Toss is a fun interactive game that tests your mettle.
Finally, there’s the Nasi Lemak Puzzle Hunt, a timed ball pit treasure hunt.
Completing each station gets you a stamp. If you’ve got all three, you can head down to the giant Coke-themed gashapon machine to collect a capsule. Within, you’ll find out what prize you’ve won! This ranges from a can of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and food vouchers, to JBL Bluetooth Speakers, a SMEG toaster and blender, or better yet, a Ninja Foodie 11-in-1 Multicooker.
Aside from these challenges, Singapore Is Cooking also has plenty of events on the schedule to entertain—with public participation required. From 2pm to 5pm on 5 August, chefs at the event will be trying to create the largest Coca-Cola bottle formation purely out of pizza. If you’re lending a helping hand to this Singapore Book of Records-worthy challenge, you get to walk away with a goodie bag or Timbre Group food vouchers.

To keep the vibes up, local bands will be playing live sets through both evenings. Since you’re going to be doing a lot of feasting at Singapore Is Cooking, burn some calories off at their mass workout sessions. Don your gym gear and take part in novel Sabrefit classes from 5pm to 6pm on 5 August, or 3pm to 4pm on 6 August. If you’ve not heard of Sabrefit before, it’s essentially a workout class where you workout to high-energy music with light sabres, Star Wars-style
We’ve only scratched the surface of what the event has up its sleeve. If you love food festivals and Coca-Cola, and you’re looking for a family-friendly event to spend the National Day week, then swing by Timbre+ One North for Singapore Is Cooking.
