When I think of Swensen’s, what comes to mind is their delicious ice cream and Western fare. That said, their food can get quite costly, especially for a broke, jobless student in this economy. But it’s a whole other story with their Weekday Student Meal, which gets you one of nine discounted mains and a choice of drink or soup from just $8.80++! Do note that the deal is only available for dine-in from 11am to 4:30pm on weekdays, with one meal claimable per student pass.
If you’re a fan of pasta, don’t miss out on their popular Spaghetti Aglio Olio ($8.80++), starring spaghetti cooked to al dente tossed with mushrooms, chilli flakes, garlic cloves, and garlic oil. They also offer several burgers and seafood dishes on the student menu, including their Fish Baked Rice ($10.80++), featuring grilled fish fillets in a creamy white sauce, baked with rice and cheese, and their unique Truffle Shroom UFO Burger ($13.80++), starring a thick and juicy beef patty served with melty cheddar cheese, truffle oil, and a house-made shiitake and button mushroom ragout, all wrapped in a toasted UFO-shaped bun.
FYI, if you’ve got some pocket money to spare, you can also add on a Single Scoop Ice Cream to your meal for $2.50++, which is almost half the price of that on their main menu.
