Sushi Guren is a new Japanese restaurant in Jalan Besar, near Bendemeer MRT Station, with affordable omakase starting from just $48+. Do note that this set is only available during lunch at these two timings: 11:45pm and 1:15pm.

For $48+, you get a series of 12 dishes, including two seasonal appetisers as well as a chawanmushi to start. The meal is then followed by various types of fresh sushi such as madai, hotate, ebi, ikura gunkan, and shima aji. Lastly, the omakase concludes with a bowl of the restaurant’s signature udon served in a fish bone broth.

If you’re willing to fork out a bit more cash for your meal, they also have a 14-course lunch set for $78+. This comes with more premium varieties such as uni AKA sea urchin, as well as ootoro and chutoro AKA fatty tuna. For their dinner omakase, you can expect plates of nigiri sushi, bluefin tuna, and seasonal sashimi offerings, among other dishes for $118+.

Not only is the omakase affordable, the dishes are said to be made with high-quality ingredients shipped directly from Tokyo. We also found that they have a five-star rating on Google, with many customers praising the restaurant for the excellent meals and service provided.

The deal seems to be a limited-time-only promotion in lieu of their opening, so hurry down before it ends—the last day to enjoy it is 31 January 2025!
