After a long day of shopping in Seminyak’s upscale boutiques and quaint local markets, nothing sounds better than a place to sit down, rest those aching legs, and replenish your energy with a good, filling meal. If you happen to find yourself in Flea Market Seminyak, stop by Warung Nia, which has hearty, spicy pork ribs with ten different spice levels to choose from!
Said to be the best spicy pork ribs in Seminyak, these popular ribs come in two sizes, 250g and 400g, which you can have a la carte, with sides, or as a set. We got the Grill Pork Ribs  (IDR215K++/~S$19.61++), a large platter which included 400g of ribs, served with BBQ sauce, fried rice, satay, and three different salads.Â
Expect pork ribs so tender, they fall off the bone. These come marinated in a sweet sauce that lends a slight sweetness to the meat, contrasted with the spicy sauce on top. For the spice, there are 10 levels to choose from. We were already sweating at level three, so good luck to any daredevils who decide to test themselves with level 10 spicy pork ribs.
The platter also comes with a bowl of fried rice and three sticks of smokey, char-grilled satay, which is another must-try at Warung Nia. Aside from sets and platters with other food, you can get their juicy Chicken or Pork satay a la carte, with eight sticks going for just IDR70K++/~S$6.36++.Â
Like the rest of the flea market, Warung Nia is open air, though there are plenty of fans to help combat the midday heat. The eatery does offer some cooling, healthy drinks too, such as the sweet Mango Crush (IDR60K++/~S$5.47++) or a refreshing Virgin Colada (IDR60K++/~S$5.47++) that’s said to aid in blood circulation.
