Designed for fast tabletop grilling, the cut stands out for its high-fat content, and we loved how it delivered a soft, tender texture coupled with the rich umami marinade. 

You can take it up a notch with the Duo Karubi Set ($17.90++ for 150g, $18.90 for 250g), which comes with an additional serving of prime cut Karubi, AKA US beef boneless short rib.

The evident marbling on the meat immediately caught our attention—after grilling, this cut resulted in an even more buttery, melt-in-your-mouth feel compared to the regular Karubi. 

They also offer the Sukiyaki Karubi Set ($14.90++ for 150g, $15.90++ for 250g), which comes with an extra onsen egg that feels like a game-changer. Give it a good mix, then dip your meat in for an extra layer of creaminess. Pro tip: it works just as well with all the other cuts. 

For something a little more indulgent, opt for the Karubi & Harami Set ($20.90++ for 200g, $21.90++ for 300g).

The harami, AKA outside skirt steak, offers a tender, beefy bite with a cleaner profile. Its lower fat content means it feels less heavy than other cuts, while still bringing a subtle sweetness thanks to the marinade used. 

If you’re not in the mood for beef, go for their Pork Belly Set ($14.90++ for 200g, $15.90++ for 300g). 

Despite its higher fat content, it remains well-balanced, with the marinade keeping each slice succulent and flavourful. We cooked it a little longer to give the edges an extra crispness, adding a crispiness to each bite. 

You can pair that with thick slices of juicy chicken thigh in the Deluxe Pork & Chicken Set ($12.90++ for 150g, $13.90+++ for 250g). 

For the best of all worlds, get the Trio Set ($14.90++ for 150g, $15.90 for 250g), featuring Karubi, chicken thigh, and tontoro AKA pork jowl, which was our favourite cut. Richly marbled, each slice melts on the tongue with a luxurious, full-bodied flavour.

Yakiniku Like offers five different sauces to pair with your meats, including the likes of Like Original BBQ Sauce, Spicy Miso Sauce, Garlic Chilli Sauce, and many other condiments to perfectly complement your meal.

Our top picks were Garlic Soy Sauce, which had a bold, aromatic punch, as well as the zesty Lemon Sauce, whose acidity cut through the fattier cuts of meat and helped to balance their richness.
