Yappari Steak will open in Singapore at VivoCity this April

If you love your steaks as much as we do, you can’t miss out on this exciting news: Yappari Steak, a popular steakhouse from Okinawa, will soon land on our shores at VivoCity! This marks the Japanese restaurant’s first foray into Singapore.

Our teammate spotted the hoarding for the new eatery on Level 2 of the mall. Upon some digging, we also found an Instagram account created on 1 January 2024 that appears to be Yappari Steak Singapore, though there weren’t any posts at the point of writing.

Yappari Steak is known for their hand-cut steaks that are grilled on lava stones from Mount Fuji. The beef is cut into thick slices, resulting in a super juicy middle after cooking.

The brand recommends the simple seasoning of salt and pepper to enjoy the unadulterated taste of the beef. The outlets in Japan also offer the classic A1 steak sauce and furikake, so you can mix and match according to your preferences.
Yappari Steak is also known for their affordable prices. To give you an idea, the namesake Yappari Steak starts at ¥1390/~S$12.50 for a 120g serving in Japan. Over at the Australian branches, the same cut costs AU$30.90/~S$27.20 for a 200g portion—not bad at all.
The chain’s Sydney branch also offers dishes that aren’t steak-forward: think Beef Tendon Curry Rice (AU$14.90/~S$13.10) and Garlic Butter Rice (AU$5.90/~S$5.20). We’re not sure what the Singapore menu will offer, but will update this story once we get more details!
