Malaysian-Famous Zus Coffee Opens At Westgate With Strawberry Matcha Latte And More

Zus Coffee opens second outlet at Westgate in Jurong East

Zus Coffee needs no further introduction: the Malaysian-famous coffee chain has over 500 outlets worldwide, including one at Changi Airport that opened in October 2024. They recently opened a second outlet at Westgate, which means Westies don’t have to travel to the other end of Singapore to try their offerings.

We tried a total of three drinks, two ready-to-eat meals, and a dessert.

Starting with the highly anticipated Matcha Strawberry Latte ($5.90+), this popular drink features a layer of strawberry milk topped with matcha latte. As it’s made without strawberry puree, the latte leans sweet and milky, almost overpowering the earthy notes of the tea, so don’t expect an intense matcha flavour here!

Other matcha variations include the classic Matcha Latte ($5.90+) and lesser-seen Matcha Lemonade ($4.90+).

If you’d like to try one of their coffee signatures, we recommend the Spanish Latte ($5.50+). For the uninitiated, the Spanish latte is known to be sweeter than a regular latte as condensed milk is used instead of fresh milk.

For something more refreshing, we recommend the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea ($5.50+), starring a rich oolong tea base with a hint of peach aroma.

Good news for folks working or studying in the area, there’s a range of ready-to-eat meals are perfect to have on the go.

We got a pasta main and rice dish to try and between the two, we enjoyed the Chicken Meatball Spaghetti ($7.90+) more. There was a nice layer of melted cheese atop a small portion of spaghetti mixed with a sweet-tangy tomato sauce, alongside savoury chicken meatballs to substantiate the meal. 

There’s also the slightly spicy Tom Yum Fried Rice ($6.90+), which tasted more like seafood fried rice as the tart flavour from what you’d expect in any other tom yum dish was lacking.

We rounded off our meal on a sweet note with the Classic Red Velvet Cake ($6.90+), starring a spongy chocolate and vanilla-flavoured cake with layers of rich cream cheese.

It hasn’t been long since Zus Coffee at Westgate opened their doors to the public, so please extend some grace if you encounter any hiccups along the way.
