Legendary Hong Kong Rochester Park
Legendary Hong Kong in Jurong Point is one of the most authentic places in Singapore you can head down to for legit cha chaan teng fare.
Their decor gets the details of these Hong Kong diners right, down to the Cantonese TV programs playing on the screens when you visit. The menu is also packed with Hong Kong classics, from dim sum to noodles, toasts, roast meats, and drinks served in ice bowls. All in all, there are hundreds of dishes to choose from!
If you love Legendary Hong Kong, then you’ll be happy to know that they’re expanding again, opening a third, pet-friendly outlet at Rochester Commons. This follows their express concept opening at Funan in January 2022, which focuses more on cart noodles, HK French toast, and buns, as well as sweets.

This new eatery is housed in a two-storey colonial bungalow, with design elements that are a tad more atas than their OG outlet. The unmistakable Hong Kong charm is still preserved, though, with a central serving booth that has signs in Cantonese, as well as pictures of famed actors lining the walls.
On the menu are a handful of Rochester-exclusive dishes, as well as all the classics from the Jurong Point outlet.
If you’ve yet to try Legendary Hong Kong, here are some things you may want to order when heading down to their Rochester restaurant.

Check out their selection of rice with barbecued meats, especially their Rice with BBQ Twin Combo ($11.80++), which comes with your choice of two meats from a list of six options. These include their crispy pork belly, roasted duck, and soy sauce chicken.

Their French Toast HK Style ($4.20++) is another must. These thick slabs of eggy toast come with a delightfully crispy outer, and are served simply with a pat of butter, as well as syrup. If you want to zhng-up your order, there are other toppings to try, including peanut butter, egg custard, and ham & cheese.

True-blue cha chaan teng fare is also sold on the menu under the “Hong Kong Specials”. There’s the classic Scrambled Egg Sandwich ($4.50++), Crispy Egg Tarts ($1.80++), and a selection of Nissin noodles served with your topping of choice, most priced under $8++.
Do note that prices listed here may differ from those at Rochester Commons, as the eatery is still in its soft opening phase.
Unlike the other two outlets, Legendary Hong Kong Rochester encourages reservations. You can find out more about their reservations process via their Facebook post.
