Thai Baang Is Opening A New Outlet In Paya Lebar, Has Fluffy Thai-Style Bakes, Mochi Bread And More

Thai Baang is opening a new outlet in Paya Lebar 

Said to be the first Thai-style bakery in Singapore, Thai Baang is a pretty popular bakery with exceptionally soft and fluffy bakes at affordable prices. Last year, they expanded to a second outlet in Holland Village, on top of their OG Lavender branch. Now, they’ve just announced a third outlet in SingPost Central right next to Paya Lebar MRT Station, which is set to open in May 2023!  

If you’ve never heard of this gem, Thai Baang was opened by owner Jovi in 2017, after stumbling upon a traditional bakery in Thailand that inspired her to master Thai bread making. Thai Baang has come a long way since then, and so has the quality of their bakes that are still baked fresh in store every day.

You can expect their new outlet to carry crowd favourites, such as their Banana Chocolate Bread ($7.80), which is a whole loaf of layered chocolate and banana bread that has just the right amount of sweetness, as well as the Tomyum Chicken Bread ($2.40), with a spicy, chicken based filling.

They also have a spread of popular Mochi Breads ($3.50), with black sesame, red bean, yam floss, and peanut fillings encased in a soft bun alongside some soft and chewy mochi.

Anticipate new bakes at the outlet as well, such as their Melon Butter Buns ($3.50), that has a huge slab of butter sandwiched within a thick, fluffy bun with a crispy, criss-crossed top dusted with sugar.

Opening hours haven’t been announced just yet, but we’ll update with more information as it comes!
