When The Emerald Bakery, a beloved bakery in Clementi that has been around since 1998, announced their closure in December 2023, fans were devastated. Thankfully, the popular bakery has made a comeback, reopening in Senja with its classic offerings, including their pandan chiffon cake, apple crumble tart, and more.

According to a brand representative, the bakery will reintroduce classic crowd favourites such as their Pandan Chiffon Cake (price TBD), Apple Crumble Tart (price TBD), Banana Cake (price TBD), and Butter Cakes (price TBD). The permanent menu will remain unchanged, but a new seasonal durian series will feature durian treats in the form of puffs and cakes!

One of their standout offerings is the apple crumble tart, which features generous chunks of fresh apple nestled in a crisp, buttery base. The tart has a pretty thick and crumbly base that supports a hearty mix of diced apples, raisins, and walnuts. The apples, meanwhile, are said to be wonderfully fresh, and the crust is expertly baked to achieve the ideal texture: firm but not overly hard.

Another must-try would be their banana cakes, which are said to be super moist, fluffy and tasty, with a perfectly balanced banana flavour.
