Lao Beijing has DIY popiah buffet for $15.80++Â

Lao Beijing, a popular Chinese restaurant located in Novena Square 2, has rolled out a new high tea buffet from now till 31 August 2025! This special buffet will be available from 3pm to 5pm on weekdays.Â

The high tea buffet offers unlimited servings of the restaurant’s Lao Beijing Signature D.I.Y. Popiah, priced at $15.80++ for adults, and $9.80++ for children. Do note that the buffet is limited to 90 minutes, and you’ll need to bring at least one other diner to enjoy the buffet.Â

Each popiah set includes beans prouts, lettuce, braised turnip, shredded egg, as well as crushed peanuts and crackers. There are also condiments such as chilli sauce, sweet sauce, garlic, and coriander. And of course, you’ll get popiah skin to wrap up all your ingredients of choice.

Other than popiah, here are some other dishes diners can enjoy as part of the buffet. For starters, go for restaurant specials such as Braised Pork Shank with Vegetables and Mala Duck Wings. Then, accompany them with carbs such as Braised Pork Rice, Beijing-style Zha Jiang Noodles, and Mala Beef Tendon Soup Noodles.Â

They’ve also got dishes such as Hot and Sour Soup, Drunken Chicken, and Deep-fried Five-Spice Meat Roll in Beancurd Skin, which make for great appetisers. You can also tuck into a tantalising spread of dim sum, which includes Steamed Shrimp, Pork and Chive Dumpling, Pan-fried Pork and Cabbage Dumpling, and many more. End off with a plate of either Aloe Vera with Lemongrass Jelly and Mini Ice-Cream Puff for dessert.Â
