Sarawak Mega Fair 2025 has kolo mee and laksa at Suntec City

Foodies, get ready for a culinary adventure to Borneo without hopping on a plane. The first-ever Sarawak Mega Fair is happening from 16 October to 19 October 2025 at Suntec City, bringing over 50 exhibitors that showcase the Malaysian state’s unique food and culture!

Organised by the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS), the fair highlights Sarawak’s diverse food culture born from its 34 ethnic groups and rich natural produce. Visitors can look forward to tasting authentic dishes rarely found in Singapore—many prepared by Sarawak-born chefs and homegrown brands. There will be around 30 food-related booths at the fair, including seven to eight stalls with live cooking in action.
One of the biggest draws will be Sarawak Delicacy, known for their Sarawak Laksa that’s prepared with over 30 herbs, and Kolo Mee. Founded by Sarikei native Agnes Wong, the stall currently has multiple outlets across the island, including Tampines North.
Don’t forget to stop by KANTIN, Singapore’s first Borneo restaurant and a nominee for “Asia’s Best New Restaurant 2025”. The kiosk will be serving Umai Jellyfish, a refreshing sashimi dish made with raw jellyfish marinated in lime juice, onions, and chilies.
You can also sample the restaurant’s signature Sarawak Teh C Special, also known locally as 3-Layer Milk Tea. It comprises gula apong, a natural palm sugar sweetener from Sarawak, milk, and tea.

Another booth to check out is Wei Le Chi 魏了吃, which will showcase Sibu specialities such as Sarawak Ba Zhen Herbal Soup and Foochow Preserved Mustard Rice Noodles: a tangy dish infused with red glutinous rice wine. Their Kampua noodles, Kompia pastries, and meat dumplings will also be available for sampling.

Besides live food stalls, visitors can also look forward to snacks and souvenirs to bring home. Visit Endu Tuak for the world’s first sparkling tuak—a traditional fermented rice wine reimagined with bubbles. There’s also Leyd Craft Beer, said to be the first Sarawakian brewery to enter the Peninsular Malaysian beer market.
There’s also Balau Agrotech for traditional rice, pepper, and sweets from Sri Aman, and Tanoti, Penan Women Project or Batik Linut for handwoven crafts and eco-friendly batik.

The Sarawak Mega Fair 2025 will take place at Suntec City’s Atrium (Towers 1 & 2) and Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre. Admission is free. Visitors can also collect stamps at both locations to redeem a Sarawak-themed blindbox plushie keychain, featuring designs like Hornbill Hawker and Kek Lapis!
In other food news, Dona Manis and Sembawang Confectionery has a pop-up at Jewel Changi Airport with old-school banana pie, cakes and more. Weave at RWS has also launched a new food court with 10 stalls, featuring Vietnamese pho, Thai fare, and local delights.
