Cai fan is a beloved staple among Singaporeans, but its also a versatile concept that lends itself to other cuisines. If you’re in the CBD, look no further than OGOG, which has a Korean spin on it at CIMB Plaza!

We’re no strangers to Korean cai png, and OGOG positions itself as a go-to for homely Korean fare that’s quick, affordable, and tailored for the lunch crowd. After debuting at Marina One, this CIMB Plaza outlet marks its second location.

The most basic option is the 3-Dish Bansang, starting from $9.90. You’ll get one base, three Korean dishes, and a choice between kimchi or a sauce. You can also add $5 to make it a meal, which comes with a soup and a drink.

There are two types of dishes here: mains and sides, which you can get in any combination of your choosing. The typical combo of two mains and one side costs $11.90, whereas for bigger eaters, the 4-Dish Bansang with three mains and one side costs $15.90

We tried the Soy Garlic Oven Baked Chicken and Gochujang Pork ($1) for our mains, but you can also look forward to the classic Beef Bulgogi ($1), Gochujang Soy Mackarel, and Marinated Tofu, among others.

Sides are smaller-portioned, and you’ll find most of the veggies in this section. Go for the mini-sized Kimchi Pancake or Shrimp Pancake, or get classic banchan dishes such as Japchae, Soy-Braised Potato, and Topokki ($0.50)

ogog-soondubu

The meal set comes with a Korean soup on the side. We had the Spicy Soft Tofu Stew, AKA soondubu, which we thought was extremely comforting with its deep and piquant flavours.

OGOG also has a selection of Gimbap rolls for a quick grab-and-go meal. The Beef Bulgogi Gimbap ($11.90) was packed with juicy beef, and went well with the fiery-tangy Chilli Padi Mayo that we selected on the side.

OGOG is located at the basement of CIMB Plaza, which is a one-minute walk from Raffles Place MRT Station. Their original outlet is at Marina One
