Baan Kai Khon will open at Tampines GreenCourt in Sep 2024

The new Tampines North BTO estate, or more specifically Tampines GreenCourt, just got a whole lot cooler. Baan Kanom Thai recently announced the launch of their new concept, Baan Kai Khon, slated to open in a brand-new coffeeshop at 633 Tampines North Drive 2!

For those who don’t know, Baan Kanom Thai is a popular Golden Mile stall known for their delicious Thai pancakes. Previously a takeaway-only kiosk, the stall moved to Jalan Besar last year, with a small dine-in space and savoury mains offered on top of their famous desserts.

The brand’s signature Thai Pandan Pancakes and Thai Sweet Potato Pancakes will be available at this new stall. These are priced from $5.50 for 10 at the OG Jalan Besar store, but we’re not sure how much they’re retail for here. These freshly made pancakes are said to be soft and kueh-like, with a discernible pandan or sweet potato flavour, depending on which you pick.

You’ll also find the Thai Pandan Pudding (price TBD) and Thai Coconut Pudding (price TBD)Â at Banom Kai Khon, both of which are great as a little dessert after a hearty meal.
According to an I Love Tampines Instagram post, the new stall will also offer creamy Thai egg omelette with a variety of toppings, including crab chunks and minced meat fried with basil. These are served atop white rice.
