BreadTalk pop-up
Although BreadTalk’s baked goodies are popular snack options for many, getting them during this Circuit Breaker period might not be the wisest move for senior citizens—given the travelling time and prolonged exposure outdoors. Thankfully, the chain is making it easier for senior citizens to get their daily staples with their latest initiative, the BreadTalk Flossmobile, which is essentially a pop-up food truck.

These pop-up trucks will be at various neighbourhood car parks in Bishan and Ang Mo Kio that have high concentrations of the elderly. The four that have been announced so far are:
- 175 Bishan Street 13
Dates: Every Tuesday and Friday till 1 June 2020
Opening hours: 1:30pm to 2:30pm
- 160 Bishan Street 13
Dates: Every Tuesday and Friday till 1 June 2020
Opening hours: 3:30pm to 4:30pm
- 131 Bishan Street 12
Date: Every Wednesday and Saturday till 1 June 2020
Opening hours: 11:30am to 12:30pm
- 212 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3
Date: Every Wednesday and Saturday till 1 June 2020
Opening hours: 3:30pm to 4:30pm
In keeping with the Circuit Breaker measures, we urge you to only visit these pit stops if you’re a resident living in the area. The organisers will also be doing their part to ensure social distancing is observed. There will be widely spaced marks on the ground and a separate priority queue for the elderly.

Those in the queue will be given an order form which has a pretty extensive list of options. Some stuff you can get include their signature Pork Floss Bun and Cheese Toast. All these baked goods will be individually packed, so you can rest assured that cross-contamination will not occur.
If you’re a senior citizen aged 65 and above, be sure to bring along your NRIC as you’ll score a free pack of toast with any purchase!
