Butter Town Review: Sesame Mochi Shio Pan And Sourdough Bakes By Young Hawkers In HV
You can tell that Butter Town really cares about the freshness of their products: every item is baked and then delivered to the vending machine at 12:30pm and 5pm each day, with unsold items cleared by 8pm.

To ensure you get the bakes in optimum condition, the machine itself is temperature-controlled, so your bread, which comes in a packet of three, comes out nice and ready to eat.
Here, you can get classics such as the Original Shio Pan ($7.20). This excellent bread owes its flavour to premium Japanese bread flour, rich butter, and a light sprinkle of salt flakes. The texture is also great, with its slightly crunchy exterior giving way to a soft, fluffy, and slightly chewy interior.
Other flavours here include the popular Au Chocolat ($8.40), Garlic Cheese ($8.40), and Pineapple Bolo ($8). Our favourite was the Au Chocolat: the filling was spread evenly inside the bread, neither too sweet nor too bitter, with just enough to ensure you had some chocolate in each bite without being too cloying.
Should you drop by the vending machine on 17 January 2025, you can get 50% off on all shio pan products. Just note that these items sell out quickly, so we recommend you drop by around the time of each delivery—again, 12:30pm and 5pm—to avoid disappointment.
