PSA: CHEESE WONDER, a viral Japanese cheesecake brand with long queues overseas, is launching its first Singapore pop-up at ION Orchard from 8 May 2026. The dessert will be available for a limited eight-week run at the mall’s Basement 4 atrium.

The brand first gained popularity in Japan for its highly limited releases, where customers had to purchase the desserts online at specific time slots. These batches were often sold out within minutes, with demand spilling over to physical pop-ups in cities including Hong Kong, where queues stretched for hours.

At the centre of the brand is its signature frozen cheesecake, made using dairy and eggs sourced from Hokkaido. Unlike baked cheesecakes, such as those by homegrown brand Paparch, this version features two layers—a light cheese souffle and a creamier cheese mousse—set on a cookie base for a contrast of textures.

The dessert is designed to be eaten at different stages—frozen, slightly softened, or fully thawed—each offering a different texture and taste.
Prices for the original cheesecake start at $35.90 for four pieces, with a six-piece gift box priced at $53.90.

Also available at the pop-up is the WONDER SAND, a crisp almond cookie sandwich filled with fresh cream made from Hokkaido milk and butter. This item is priced at $35.90 for a box of eight.

For a limited time, customers can also try the strawberry version of the dessert. Each piece features a whole Japanese strawberry wrapped in two layers of cheese fillings, including a strawberry-infused one. This seasonal item is priced at $42.90 for four pieces.
Like its other launches, the Singapore pop-up is expected to draw crowds given its limited run and small-batch releases. The pop-up will be around for eight weeks from 8 May, so those keen to try it may want to head down early.
