Helmed by an ex-Crystal Jade chef, Chef Kin HK Wanton Noodle shot to popularity when they opened their first stall in Yishun in 2021. In less than a year, they have launched a number of outlets across the island, including stalls in Bedok and Ang Mo Kio.

The hawker chain recently announced their latest opening, their eighth outlet to date, in a coffeeshop on 808 French Road. Their new location is a mere five-minute walk from Lavender MRT Station, catering to those staying or working in the Jalan Besar area.

Here you’ll find the stall’s signature HK Shrimp Wanton Noodle ($5), a classic dish that’s available both soup and dry. Each plump wonton is hand-filled with well-seasoned pork mince.

They also have the HK Shrimp Dumpling ($5) if you prefer chunkier dumplings. Each is wrapped with a generous amount of pork, prawn, black fungus, and bamboo shoots.

Meat lovers should try their HK Braised Beef Brisket Noodle ($6.50), a rich and flavourful dish comprising Chef Kin’s signature duck egg noodles with a savoury mix of oyster sauce and soy sauce, topped with slow-stewed beef brisket.

A new addition to their menu is the HK Wantons with Black Vinegar & Chilli Oil ($4.50) AKA 红油抄手. This mala-inspired number features Chef Kin’s signature wontons drenched in a tangy and spicy combo of black vinegar and chilli oil. Enjoy these juicy wontons alongside their slurp-worthy noodles for a satisfying and complete meal.

After you’ve had your fill of noodles, head to the nearby La Levain for fresh pastries by an ex-Bakery Brera chef. This cafe is only a brief five-minute walk from Chef Kin HK Wanton Noodle’s French Road outlet!
