South Koreans love coffee and they take their coffee very seriously. So when a coffee chain is named the most-loved coffee brand in Korea, you can bet that they’re the real deal. That’s why there’s no better place for your coffee needs than Compose Coffee which has recently opened in Tower 3 of Suntec City.

Since their grand opening on 26 September 2023, Compose Coffee has been offering exciting weekly promotions. As we approach the final week of these promotions, don’t miss out on their $1 discount on all beverages from 9 to 13 October 2023. What’s more, this stacks on top of the existing 20% discount on all drinks.

Named South Korea’s favourite coffee shop at the 2023 Korea’s Most Loved Brand Awards by Forbes Korea, Compose Coffee is a well-loved and trusted brand boasting over 2,000 outlets across South Korea. And if that’s not enticing enough, you’d perhaps like to know that K-drama actor Jung Hae In is Compose Coffee’s brand ambassador!

Their menu boasts a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, frappes, smoothies, juices, and milkshakes, all served in a standard venti size. Feel free to customise your drinks to suit your preferences. You can adjust the sweetness levels, choose from various milk options, add extra shots or syrups, and even opt for additional toppings.

We went for their signatures: Sangha Farm Ice Cream Latte, Busan Sea Salted Cream Latte, K-Red Bean Milkshake, and Grape Smoothie with Cream Cheese Foam.

A must-try is their Sangha Farm Ice Cream Latte ($5.80), a rich, milky drink topped with Sangha Farm’s organic milk ice cream. This drink quickly became our favourite thanks to the harmonious blend of the coffee’s bitterness and the ice cream’s sweetness. For an even creamier texture, we recommend stirring in the ice cream.

Another latte specialty━one that’s great for the ‘gram━is their Busan Sea Salted Cream Latte ($6.10). This drink is like a taste of Busan in a cup, featuring a creamy white foam layer on top, followed by rich brown coffee, and a beautiful blue layer at the bottom that’s reminiscent of the ocean and sandy shores of Busan.

Taste-wise, this latte is great for fans of savoury and sweet combinations. To better balance out the flavours, we recommend increasing the sweetness level to either 25% or 50%, especially since the savoury notes in this drink are quite pronounced.

k-red-bean-milkshake

Those looking for something caffeine-free can go for K-Red Bean Milkshake ($6.90). Here, you’ll get a velvety red bean milkshake base generously topped with red bean paste and a sprinkling of mini injeolmi bits.

There’s also Grape Smoothie with Cream Cheese Foam ($6.90), a sweet beverage great for those in need of a refreshing pick-me-up. This drink is a slushie-like beverage with a layer of cream cheese foam on top and bits of aloe vera.

croffles-compose coffee

Don’t leave without trying their delicious croissant waffles too, with six different flavours including Brown Cheese, Cinnamon, Salted Caramel and more.

plain-croffle

You can’t go wrong with the Plain Croffle ($2.90), a straightforward yet utterly delicious treat.

This pastry features flaky, buttery layers akin to those found in a croissant, accompanied by a caramelised sweetness that isn’t cloying, making it an excellent pairing with coffee.

Get it as a set with their signature lattes, such as the Sangha Farm Ice Cream Latte Set ($9.70) or the Busan Sea Salted Cream Latte Set ($9.90).

Another popular pick is their Brown Cheese Croffle ($4.90) that’s topped with delicate brown cheese shavings.

For those unfamiliar with brown cheese, it has a nutty, caramel-like flavour. When paired with the croffle, it adds both sweetness and a creaminess that simply melts in the mouth.

The interior is decorated with their iconic combination of yellow and black, mirroring the ambience of their outlets in Korea. While the drinks are primarily made for takeout, there’s a comfortable sitting area if you wish to chill and enjoy your coffee and croffles.

P.S.: We got all their drinks with 0% sugar, and for the most part, would strongly encourage you to do so too!
