We’re always on the lookout for cheap handmade bao stalls—we recently covered Bao Zai, which offered dim sum for as low as $0.90. Here’s another option that’s almost as cheap: Fu Yuan Handmade Dim Sum, a stall in Clementi West with prices starting from just $1.

There are more than 20 dim sum items on the menu, with practically all of the hovering in the $1 and $2 range. Their bao options, such as Coffee Bao ($1) and Char Siew Bao ($1) are rated highly. You can expect to have your fill here without putting too much dent in your wallet! But if you’re still feeling peckish after, get the Big Bao ($2.20) or the giant Chicken Nest Bao ($4).

One of the most popular items here is the Liu Sha Bao, which costs a mere $1.10. Patrons praise this bun for its fluffy exterior and, of course, its sweet-savoury salted egg filling. Just look at how the filling oozes out in the picture above!

They’ve also got your usual dim sum classics, including Siew Mai ($2.30), Har Gao ($2.50), and Lo Mai Gai ($2.30).
