GastroBeats 2025 Returns On 29 May, Get XL Fish And Chips, Warabimochi And More Here
1. Warabimochi Kamakura
We’re starting the list with a name that needs no introduction: Warabimochi Kamakura. Since their Holland Village opening in 2024, the popular Japanese sweets chain has been a constant favourite among many Singaporeans.Â
If you’re a fan, be sure to try their new GastroBeats-exclusive items: Kinako Hokkaido Milk Warabimochi Drink (from $10.90+), Kinako Strawberry Royale (from $13.90+), and Black Sesame Warabimochi Cup ($19.90+ for 10 pieces). The former features Hokkaido milk with a layer of strawberry warabimochi crush, finished with house-made whipped cream and kinako powder. For a sweet treat on the go, you can’t go wrong with the Black Sesame Warabimochi Cup: soft, chewy mochi dusted with earthy and nutty black sesame powder.Â

2. TatoThoughts
It’s the debut of home-based business TatoThoughts at GastroBeats 2025! The Gen Z mastermind behind the brand has created more than five different variations of tater tots. Besides the fixed items on the menu, you can DIY your bowl if you’re all about customising ingredients to your liking.Â
We recommend the Tato Breakfast ($8) for a safe bet that’s also incredibly filling and delicious. A bento box comes with a baked potato seasoned with salt and pepper, and loaded with butter, scrambled eggs, shiitake mushrooms, a hot dog, and mentaiko to spice up the potato dish. If you’re heading down with a group of friends, the Tato Trio (TBD) is a better choice as it includes two signatures and an exclusive special available at GastroBeats only.Â

3. Papi’s Tacos
Bona fide fans of Mexican fare will surely know of Papi’s Tacos, a highly rated Mexican restaurant in Singapore. They are bringing their well-loved tacos and nachos to GastroBeats this year, all under $20!
It’d be remiss of you to leave without getting their Mentaiko Prawn Tacos ($16+), featuring palm-sized tacos loaded with a crispy, fresh shrimp and creamy mentaiko sauce. Pair this with the crowd-favourite Papi’s Signature Nachos ($12+), which gives you a generous base of corn tortilla chips topped with creamy and flavour-packed guacamole.

4. Jett Barbeque
Catch Jett Barbecue at the festival for highly raved American BBQ ribs. Our team chanced upon this home-based business in 2023 and fell in love with their oh-so-delicious beef ribs.Â
Go straight for the Dino Ribs ($95+), starring 600g of beef rib that’s tender, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone. The ribs are smoked for over 10 hours with wood specially imported from the USA, adding a depth of charred flavour that we thoroughly enjoyed. Don’t forget to get their Signature Mashed Potatoes ($8+), boasting a smooth and buttery texture that makes for a great dipping sauce for your meat.

5. Slurp Your Oysters
You know whatever Slurp Your Oysters offers is the real deal, thanks to the 22K fans that follow their Instagram account.Â
The homegrown brand is known for the fresh, succulent oysters boasting a velvety-smooth, creamy texture with a briny aftertaste. There are chilled and grilled oysters here; the former gives you either Mango Salsa or Thai Chilli, while the latter includes Mentaiko and Grilled Cheese. The Mango Salsa is a winning combination of sweet and tangy, while the Grilled Cheese gives a savoury, creamy touch. Three pieces cost $16, while six pieces cost $28.

6. NOSH
Popular bistro NOSH serves up quality Western food at reasonable prices, namely their massive XL fish and chips. Fun fact, they started as a food truck in Marina Bay Sands with two physical restaurants at the time of writing.Â
The Nosh XL Fish and Chips isn’t the cheapest as it’s priced at $88.80, but you get your money’s worth if you’re heading down with a big group of friends. There are other seafood items and sides to get here, with the likes of Dory and Chips ($19.90) and Triple Cheese Fries ($13.90).Â

7. Kwazy Corndog
Kwazy Corndog is where you need to be for a light snack on the go. Here, you can get Korean-style corn dogs in 11 different flavours with a fun twist. For the uninitiated, corn dogs are a popular street food in Korea, typically eaten at amusement parks and during festivals.Â
We got the 4-in-1 Combo for $32, in Nutella, Double Cheesy, Super Ring, and Honey Cornflakes. If you’re getting a box like we did, we recommend two savouries and two sweets to get the best of both worlds. For textural variety, the crunchy Honey Cornflakes is the way to go; otherwise, Super Ring is a unique addition to the lineup we’ve never seen elsewhere.Â

8. Gyushi
Familiar face Gyushi is back; the last time we tried their offerings was at Artbox 2024, where we left pretty impressed with their beef bowls priced under $15.Â
You can’t go wrong with the Original Wagyu Beef Bowl ($14+) or Mentaiko Wagyu Beef Bowl ($15+)—the latter features a bed of rice topped with tender beef slices and house-made mentaiko mayonnaise. The best part is, of course, the buttery-soft Wagyu that’s said to be imported all the way from Australia!
