PSA: Messina and Queic by Olivia have joined forces on a limited-edition collab with two cheesecake gelato flavours and a pair of ice cream sandwiches, running from 26 October to 8 November 2026, while stocks last.

Popular Aussie Chain Gelato Messina Opens In Chinatown With Singapore Exclusive Flavours

Queic started as a single shop on Kreta Ayer Road in 2021, spun off from Olivia Restaurant & Lounge, and has since grown to four outlets. Messina, meanwhile, is the Australian gelato chain that landed on Club Street in 2025 and is known for its experimental rotating specials, so the two make a pretty natural pairing.

First up is BBC (Buttery Blue Cheese) (from $7.50). The base is a butter pecan gelato with blue cheese worked in, then loaded with chunks of Olivia’s Signature Cheesecake and candied pecans. Expect a salty, savoury edge from the blue cheese, softened by the toasty sweetness of the nuts. If you’re already a fan of Queic’s original cheesecake, this is basically that in scoop form.

The second flavour, Eazy Brie-zy (from $7.50), takes its cue from the brie, honey, and fig combo you’d normally find on a cheese board. Australian honey goes into the gelato, which carries a strong brie flavour, with Queic’s Brie Cheesecake chunks, candied walnuts, and swirls of fig jam mixed through. Blue cheese sceptics might find this the easier entry point of the two.

Both gelato flavours are sold by the scoop and in take-home tubs, and only at Messina’s Club Street shop.

Can’t make it down to Club Street? Queic has its own spin on the collab. The Buttery Blue Cheese Ice Cream Sandwich and Eazy Brie-zy Ice Cream Sandwich feature the matching gelato between two house-made brown butter hazelnut sablé cookies, with a layer of honey lemon caramel. They go for $12 each in-store at the Kreta Ayer, Scotts Square, and JEM outlets.

With only two weeks on the clock, we’d suggest heading down sooner rather than later, especially if you want a tub to bring home.
