HDB bars with cheap booze and chill vibes
Long gone are the days where coffee shops were the only places to get a cheap drink near your hood. With these HDB bars and bistros right under your nose, you will be amazed to realise that void decks are no longer the boring spaces that they used to be. Whether you’re grabbing a drink after work, looking for a nearby place to chill at, or if you simply don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for drinks in town, these HDB bars and bistros can help fulfill your beer lover’s dream.
It’s close to the end of the month and you just want a simple night out with your friends over drinks at a bar without breaking the bank. Although Kovan is well-known for Nakhon Kitchen and Lola’s Cafe, many may not know that a Japanese bar, Tachinomiya is within a mere stone’s throw away. This izakaya serves Asahi pints ($9.50 each), towers ($55 for 3 litres), and bottles of sake as cheap as $20 each. They also offer whiskey from $8 per glass.
