McDonald’s has new Kueh Bangkit ice cream
We’re starting the year on a sweet note thanks to McDonald’s newly launched Kueh Bangkit soft serve! The latest dessert comes in cone, sundae, and OREO McFlurry forms, which are perfect for the sweltering summer in Singapore. Good news, you can now find these at all McDonald’s dessert kiosks across the island.

For those who aren’t familiar with kueh bangkit, it’s essentially a melt-in-your-mouth biscuit typically made with coconut cream, pandan, and tapioca flour. This treat is often eaten during the festive seasons, including Hari Raya and Chinese New Year.

Each Kueh Bangkit Cone is priced at $1.20, and you can expect a creamy and fragrant flavour combination of pandan and coconut. Eager McDonald’s fans have already given this dessert a try, with some of them going back for seconds. We have a feeling that this new flavour will be a hit, just in time for the upcoming CNY season.

If the cone is too basic for you, there’s the Kueh Bangkit Hot Fudge Sundae ($2.50) or Kueh Bangkit OREO McFlurry ($3.60) for you to try as well. The former comes with the fast food joint’s signature hot chocolate fudge sauce, while the latter stars crunchy cookie bits for added texture.
While we don’t know how long the new ice cream flavour will last, what we do know is that you can get it from 42 Dessert Kiosks across the island, with many of them situated in heartland malls and community centres.
